They moved to mobile and don't care anymore for this industry. If that market gives them more money, I don't think they give a damn what people think's about them.

The mobile market is satured. They will come groveling back. That is when the real fun will start. When we give them a collective "No! Go die!".

Well doh... they are still swimming in the money Kojima made them with MGS5.

We acknowledge that KONAMI was best as an ARCADE developer, but we cant see their reason for moving to mobile where ARCADE GAMES flourish... hmmm. KONAMI, outside of MGS and PES, has never been a super successful consoole developer after PS1 days when arcade styled games lost popularity. KONAMI faild hard last gen to establish anything non MGS/PES related while theit bread and butter arcade games flourished in mobile.

Most gamers arnt KONAMI fans, but MGS. Most gamers could not name 10 KONAMI IP's from the NES/SNES days or even now. One could look at KONAMI removing Kojima off MGS as saying, " you work for us, we paid for this game, it ours" No other developer got the level of prestige Kojima got.

Have you ever seen this is a Sakaguchi game on FF box? How about this is a Miyamoto game? Naka game? No, because they're not Divas.

I just don't see a situation that can honestly justify how they acted. Kojima has been working for Konami for years, if he's a diva they must be used to it by now. I can understand that they felt their partnership with him no longer fit into the company's future but the logical thing to do would have been to let Metal Gear Solid V be released with Kojima's name on it and let him get up on stage to accept an award for his game. It would have prevented a lot of unnecessary drama and then they could have announced they are not renewing Kojima's contract because of change in direction from the company (or something to that effect).

The way Konami has handled the Kojima situation has to be one of the worst PR disaster of the gaming world (somewhere up there with Microsoft's initial Xbox One announcement).

Nothing will be worse than the Xbone annoucement. Nothing.

Truck, why is it sooo important that MGSV has Kojima's name on box? HE WORKS FOR KONAMI! What makes him soo much more deserving that Miyamoto, Fumito Ueda, Yuki Naka, Sakaguchi, Tetsuya Nomura and many more? The idea that Kojima believes he is higher than the people who pay his bills is biting the hand that feeds you and is vain as fuck. Imagine an son or daughter with attitude in your house.

I see why KONAMI did what they did - cut the lights off at Kojima Production, he so big and bad well turn em back on then. Oh he cant because KONAMI is paying the bills for the company not him.

I'm talking from a PR/public image standpoint. Maybe they were dancing from happiness that they were getting rid of Kojima but they should just have waited it out to avoid losing face like they did.

The only mistake that KONAMI has made is not elaborating on thier side thus keeping the ball in Kojimas court. Its ridiculous that Kojima and his followers believe that he is entitled to having his name and company name on the box. That he should be allowed to solely represent himself and his team. To create a detachment from where the ppl paying for his games get no recognition. Unbelievable.

Rise of the Tomb Raider exclusivity is up there too IMO (just below the other two). Not as wide as a console or an entire company, but same level of PR disaster.
