Give me discbased BC

I'd love that.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

The games I already digitally downloaded on PS3 would be nice.

Or the disk based games most people still have in their homes, :s MS is offering free backwards compatibility of x360 games which people either bought from XBLA or have the disks of (many of which you can find in places like gamestop for under 5euro) Sony offering BC of a generation before last... at €10 to 15 a pop? It's terrible imo.

I seriously think they would have been better off just moving forwards while there were just going full Next gen was better than trying to sell PS2 games from 15 years ago at little under half the price of retail games now, When you consider that you can get 2 PS4 games from the current BOGOF sale on PSN EU for €50 or else go and buy 2 PS2 games... for €30 especially again like I said if people have bought some PS2 classics during the PS3 era or have the disks still kept because of how Sony fans or gaming fans love to retain their beloved games, Sony just took a step at making those games worth-less.

I'm well salty about this lol, #rantontheinternet

I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and pretend there is a reason why we can't have disc based emulation. Maybe they're worried about errors and don't want it to be seen as a sub-par product, maybe they need to recompile them or whatever.

The fact that I already bought GTA San Andreas as a PS2 classic on PS3 and will have to purchase it again for PS4 is straight up shitty though, there's no defending that.

Aye yeah, I've got the Jak/Ratchet and clank trilogies on the ps3/Vita crossbuy as well myself, wondering if those games start getting listed and available on the ps4... will I get to enjoy them again, all the glory of playing the games... or also get to experience all the glory of buying them... for a 3rd time.

Sad times.

Was pleasantly surprised by the Xbox 360 disc emulation and was hoping that would keep Sony on their toes.

Sad times indeed.

If only Sony would come forward and somehow assure us that this is the last time we'd have to buy them, that future consoles will let you play them, I wouldn't mind.

But then it is impossible for them to tell how compatible those games will be with future hardware that doesn't exist right now (I suppose).

Somehow makes me appreciate the way PC gaming works and how compatible releases are with new hardware.

Maybe a promise that if it was going to be possible on future hardware... it would be free then? like Cross buy and future systems where available.

as for the underlined, sure some PC games are fine with newer hardware, still have my copy of Halo CE telling me my PC has 0mb of RAM tho, it still works fine, outside of some maximizing issues, but yeah some older software just plain wont run on newer versions of windows or where a massive amount of extra resources are available in the system and the old software is like.... nope that can't be right, I'll be over here looking for a 8mb or greater video card :D

1) Yeah, that would be nice and make a difference, at least for me.

2) Really? I have only scratched the surface of PC gaming so I will take your word for it. Then I guess everyone has their own issues. lol

Ah to be fair 99% of games work fine or will work in either DosBox or else VMware player with an old OS wedged into it, that is if they don't work with windows compatibility (that isn't actually that bad now for older software) Heck even like I said Halo boots, it just says that I've no RAM haha, on googling it obviously I'm not the only one.

That's the lad, but yeah I work in IT support myself so I'm unlikely to believe a program saying the PC it's running on has 0mb of RAM :D
