Would like it to be either a linear story telling with branching paths or an open world RPG. Not that into horror but would them to make a PT/Silent hills spiritual successor to satisfy the silent hill fans first.

I dunno, I haven't played any Kojima-directed games but I honestly don't have much of an interest in them, besides MGS2 and maybe Zone of the Enders which look fun to me for some reason
I'm now filled with determination.
I have a feeling Sony will use Kojima's exclusive to push VR. Maybe not VR exclusive, but supporting it for the "full experience"

Wtf.
You don't deserve to be the OP of this thread.
Just PLEASE PLEASE, make don't make it open world, Kojima best work is story driven games. MGSv completely lost the immersion and plot you get from his games, and to be honest I was surprised at his lack of ideas for side quests, it was so repetitive it became a bit of a joke.
I think one thing we can expect is it's going to contain guns in a serious way. There's job openings for his new studio and one of them is "Gun specialist"

I really want him to do a horror game now because it would probably be the best horror game ever. But I would guess he'll probably do an open world action game. Would love to see him branch out into different time periods though. I have no strong desire for a certain type of game by him because I'm sure whatever he does will become a classic. That's kinda how it works when you're one of the best minds the gaming industry has ever known. I'm really curious to see which engine he uses though because the fox engine is no longer an option for him. I'd guess his first game will probably use unreal, but I'm hoping they make another engine at some point. I'm hoping we'll get to see the reveal at E3 next year.
I don't know what I want. I know what I don't want: convoluted and idiotic plot.

The only truth I can see here is the fact that MGS2 is the boldest game of the franchise, and that is reflected upon its sales and critical reception in comparison with the rest of the saga.
