Ship 10 million in 3 months is insane. Only monster like Wii, DS, PS2 ecc breaked this massive result.

The PlayStation 4 is selling well, REALLY well. But can break this massive result?

Last year, PS4 shipped 6.40 million unit. KEEP IN MIND that in November NPD 2015 PS4 was up YOY by over 85%. And is selling more than double in Media Create. The Europe is probabily a similar situation.

PS4 need to be up YOY by 57% for ship 10 million.

Last year, PS4 was selling for $/€ 399, with some UNOFFICIAL price drop at $/€ 349. This time, PS4 will be sold for an OFFICIAL $/€ 299 temporaney pricedrop. And has the market of two massive release like Black Ops III, and Star Wars: Battlefront. Fallout 4 will help too.

That said, what do you guys believe? Can the PS4 break an absolutely insane record this holidays?

VGC has it at 4.5 million sell through for Oct and Nov. Likelihood is PS4 was carrying at least 1.5 million stock on hand into the final quarter. PS4 could do another 4 million for December to give 8.5 million sell through. Figure PS4 will carry 6 weeks of stock into the new year which is about 1-1.2 million. So I think 9 million seems about right, so 10 million is possible but not likely.

They're expecting good sales from January - March so I'm sure they'll ship as much as possible this December.

3.5m is possible in the US alone so I can definitely see 9m WW. That's my guess and I'm being optimistic.

I think 7.5M-9.5M shipment this quarter is a reasonable range
Hitting exactly 10M seems very unlikely, though not impossible.

Btw, you admit you was wrong about Splatoon under 5 million. And i probabily need to admit i was wrong abou PS4 under 100 million. We aren't perfect, we may be wrong.
