I don't think Undertale should win, not because of its quality, but becuase it is still fresh in our minds. Games need years to be thought about before they can run for Game of all time

With that said Game of All Time in itself is stupid because every year new games come out and games get older. These polls should not happen because they become outdated almost immediatly.

Gamefaqs is probably the worst place to be if you're a sane gamer. Not dissing undertale, just saying that the users on there are so rabid and convinced of their BS they won't stop trolling you until they have a heart attack.

The negativity that surrounds this vote has become associated with Undertale in my mind. This vote effectively did genuinely ruin the game for me for a few months because I don't get to experience it now until that negative association goes away. I don't wanna give the game any sort of unfair shot so by the time I play it it might be another drop in the bucket like FNAF, and that's unfortunate.

Then again, I did wait a full year spoiler free to play TLoU, and that helped give me a fair opinion of that game, so maybe this isn't a bad thing after all.

Yeah i agree on both paragraphs especially the second one. 

GameFAQs best game ever was a stable of discussion in my childhood. I remember watching the late night threads where someone botted for Chrono Trigger to beat SM64, only to be caught at the end and for it to lose by 500 votes.

That said, I welcome the loosened grip of Nintendo on GameFAQs. It's always been a foregone conclusion that the final 8 games were going to be Nintendo, a single FF game, and on rare occasions, something like Metal Gear.

Undertale has a lot of weird momentum, and it certainly won't do half as well next year. Still kinda interesting to see all the backlash.

I don't care about the poll but GameFAQs sucks except for the guides themselves ...

I think the folks over there are upset because it's a game that isn't even a year old winning their contest due to outside sources doing it to just see people upset. Nothing against this Undertale game but clearly it's victory will be false and labeled as another "L Block" and "Draven" trolling event.

If the folks at Gamefaqs wants to prevent this from happening again then their contest should have more rules and guidelines such as only registered users of at least 3 months can cast a vote.
