Forums - Nintendo - Wii U owners , not including ones who only own one or two games or who only play Splatoon, now that Fast Racing Neo is out do you care that we missed Project Cars?

The more games the better, so yeah I would like to have project cars as an option

To be frank, yes, I´m still pissed off due to the cancellation of Project Cars.... but NOT because of the game itself, but mainly because WiiU owners were probably responsible for a great part of the financial contributions for this game to be done.

I remember that at certain point (about 8-7 months before release), there was a pool on the game´s official website, where we were encouraged to answer which system we would buy the game for, and there was a massive 65% of intention of purchase from WiiU owners, that later decrease to something among 60-65 % before they decided to end and erase the poll completely from the site

I thought that it was really disrespectful to anyone who contributed to finance that game, since a lot of people paid their contributions expecting the game to be available to their console of choice, what didn´t happened.

I probably wouldn´t buy it day 01, but it was so unprofessional from the developers that they should at least launch a formal excuse to WiiU owners, they simply gave up and left people with no word about it.

They did give a formal statement in the end. They said that the game was running at 22 fps and that releasing it would essentially be suicide, since the money it would take to release it costs more than simply cutting it. They also said that they wouldn't recover the money if they had to optimize it.

In terms of funding, the game was mainly funded by pc owners. Those who lost out were in the minority that contributed for last gen. But they knew full well that they could lose that money (this is the nature of crowdfunding)

I don't think it was fair to cancel the game after all the talk that Project Cars would be the Wii U's Forza. They Hyped the Wii U version, even though they couldn't deliver. Really shit move. The developers lied to people who contributed.

If you would have read through any of the threads I wrote today you would know.

I didn't so I don't know, hence the question, but whatevs, doesn't matter who it's aimed at, blatant bait title is blatant.

Oh nevermind, I actually did look through your threads. I thought you might of had like 10+ other threads in the other forum sections or something, but you only made three of them today, this one and the Devils third one I even responded to, though granted I only just now looked at the Zelda U one, probably because it has a similarly baity title, but still, your post is pretty silly now, especially since I didn't even find the answer in any of them.

They didn't lie though. In the end, they said exactly what was wrong and why they weren't going to continue.

If they were in it for the money, they could have released a shit game that runs at 22 fps and have unaware people buy the game. Instead they were honest unlike third party devs that release shit and never bring another game to a Nintendo console

I'm still pissed on how they treated us. Companies like that do not deserve successful sales.

Nope. I didnt get it for the PS4 either, nor will i ever because what they did was despicable.

I never cared about Project Cars. I get my fix for sim racing games with Gran Turismo and it's more than enough. Sim racers are usually deep with content, and I don't see myself investing the amount of time necessary to unlocking most stuff in multiple such titles during a single gen. There's way too many other game types I play and prefer over sim racers.

I've always liked F-Zero, but since Nintendo doesn't care about this franchise, FAST is the next best thing. It sucks that it's such a jaggies fest (640x720... Really? Oh, but it shows that you can have all those neat visual effects running on the console! Surely, that's more important than overall picture quality... -___-)....

But yeah, game is fun. Love the arcade feel and sense of speed!

Project Cars? I'm completely indifferent to it. That kind of games isn't the reason I get Nintendo consoles.

Yes, they did lie. It was shameful. Hopefully they'll never bring a game to a Nintendo Console.

If you want a realistic Sim racer the answer is absolutely yes you'll miss this. The game you mention is arcade not Sim
