Forums - Nintendo - People keep asking how Nintendo can let garbage out like Devil's Third, but then they ignore games such as Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival or Mario Tennis U

Man, I support your defense of Devil's Third and am also pissed off with NoA 'cause I want to play it too, but I can't see how Amiibo Festival, Mario Tennis or Xenoblade being crap and receiving less or more flak from fans matters at this point.

Oh, i'm not the type to take reviewers for their word.

Bound by flame had terrible reviews and its one of my favorite games of the last 2 years.

So, i don't know. It may be that DT is actually fun. Because this is the important part. If you have fun playing the game, and not how much of a technical achievement it is.

Don't see what you're talking about as the Nintendo games have clearly been getting more hate and negative attention. I've crapped on Ultra Trash and Garbage Festival way more than I think any game ever, aside from Sticker Star. That comment I made in the Nintendomination thread is only the second or third time I've taken a jab at Devils Third.

wiiu lacks games and Nintendo just let's poor quality come from their publishing department.

not exactly ideal but it is what it is.

ppl now know that Nintendo will let quality suffer if it means getting a game out.

No, just if it means getting a cheap filler out on a drought, those 2 games are secondary spin offs, you would never see Nintendo doing anything even similar with one of its mainline games of any of its big franchises, or any other of its big releases, never.

I haven't played any of those 3 games but probably won't..

Not point in spending money in a game I most likely won't enjoy. Of course, not everyone will hate those games, but the majority (and the vocal majority too) dislike it so there has been a lot of talk of how bad these threads are, and I don't really see Ultra Smash or Amiibo Festival ignored..

There, there is Amiibo Festival in all its disgusting glory! It has an avergae 44 on Meta. Hmm...seems to have the same garbage score that Devils Third has.

Mario Tennis Ultra Crap has a score of 59.

So where do you all draw the line on what Nintendo should release and what they should not have released? If you are going to say "Good, I am glad Nintendo only shipped 420 copies of Devils Third because the game is crap", then it would be reasonable to say that you should have been saying this about all their other crap games.

But is Amiibo Festival or Mario Tennis actually crap? Controls, visuals, etc. As a game everything is spot on as far as I am told. It is just content and decisions that were made that destroyed these games. On the other side we have an awesomely fun game with Devils Third, that just gets a little choppy and does not have The Last of Us visuals, yet all of you dump on it because why? You are a bully and you can? Perfect Dark had garbage framerate back in the day, absolutely unplayable at times. Skyrim had so many bugs it became the fun thing to do exploiting them. Yet now, just because a game is a bit buggy and not as beautiful as other games you all destroy its image. The game is hella fun! What else do you want with a game? Not everyone on this planet likes to walk for 100's of hours in Xenoblade before anything actually happens. Sure, it is gorgeous and is a nice game, but I can only swim in water for so much and see so many moons before I get bored.

Shame on all of you for dissing a game based on a few bugs and PS3 like visuals. Learn to have fun again in stead of just playing games to be elite or to say you played it.

DEvils Third does not deserve the shaming you all have given it. Nintendo has plenty of other games that they released personally that suck Donald TRumps dick as he rubs his Man rug against your face type sucky!

Another example of somebody who looks into the numbers way too much. Have you ever stopped to consider that the Devil's Third and Mario Tennis might have been reviewed by different individuals? Have you ever also thought about the fact that because of what kind of games they are that the expectations for Devil's Third might have been higher. Also, as you said, there's really nothing "wrong" with Mario Tennis in terms of how it looks and plays. It's just a little lacking for a Mario game. Devil's Third on the other hand seems to have actual quality issues.

Also, about Framerate issues on the N64. Perfect Dark's framerate issues (which weren't nearly as bad as a lot of people claim btw) were metioned in reviews back in 2000 but they were considered only a minor problem and were deemed as acceptable because in those days, lots of games had framerate issues. Unlike today, it was nearly unavoidable. It was actually expected that a game like Perfect Dark would have framerate issues. The fact that a console game actually existed where you could have four human players and 8 computer players at the same time was considered somewhat of an achievement back then. Besides, Goldeneye also had framerate issues, as did the Turok games. So most reasonable people were expecting a game like Perfect Dark that was newer and had even more advanced graphics and gameplay ot not have those issues.

Why is this game even mentioned in this same breath as the other 3?

Edit: Never mind, Spurge mentioned it in the OP. Now my question is directed at Spurge.

Well, they're the latest games published by Nintendo for Wii U, leaving it out just didn't feel right. Also, in my personal opinion, without having played it, Xenoblade seems like a pretty bad game.
