Is this just a version of getting people to buy more so they get some free stuff.

Its all just blow way more to get a bit free, where the company benefits way more then the user.

If this has to do with the Sony card, I have one. I don't use it, though. I got it because years ago they ran a promotion where you got $100 off a new PS3 if you got a Sony card. I'm not kidding, it was how I got my PS3.

However, the rewards system sucks. Why? Because everything is full price. For example, Far Cry 4 is 5,999 points. Basically, that's $59.99 for a game that's $25 on Amazon. Now, if you're buying something like Fallout 4, which is brand new and also 5,999 points, then fine, but I rarely buy games at launch price.

Which is why I use my Amazon card for everything. That way, all my purchases end up as Amazon credit which I can use instantly and at competitive prices.

isnt Best Buy better with gamers club unlocked? Sony rewards supports Best Buy
