Ease of use wins out, PC is not a true gaming device even if it can be more capable.

That and the second PS goes cloud or streaming, it takes over PC and hammers steam into a decline in to nothing.

So basically you are saying the long form of "PC gaming is definitely going to die"?, because it sure seems that way =P.

Stopped reading at "dominating". That sensationalism made me cringe a lot at your post...

Upvoted for true backwards compatibility though...

Not die, but replaced.  By the strongest brand in gaming, PS.

l0l

Incase you may be wondering - Stream and Steam are two different things.

No shit, but when PS can be accesed and played on any device in the world by pluging in a PS controller into it.

Steam is dead.

Yeah I can see that - I can see Sony killing Steam like they did again 8 years ago when PSN came out with digital titles l0l.

lol that was tied to a console.

When its not, au revoir.

Except that's not how it's going to work how you think it will. Steam won't die and the world will keep on spinning, People said Origin/Uplay were going to die and yet here we are years later and even origin brought some good things from their client which caused Steam to "pick up steam" and improve it's own service. You don't just make a console, stream and suddenly everything in the known world is decimated forevermore by a single company, that's not how business or competition remotely works.

Didnt PS decimate the competition when it entred the Console market ? lucky for them console gens come and go.  Comp is rebooted.

In a world wide battle of Brands, who is bigger steam or playstation.

Not entirely and the other two are still standing as well with their own future plans that also involve ideas outside of the console market that don't involve decimating the PC platform, MS even goes far to say they don't see themselves competing with steam:

"We are not intending to compete with Steam. If anything, we want Steam to be even more successful -- they've done great things for PC gamers in terms of having a single store." - Kevin Unangst, Microsoft's senior director for PC gaming.

What are you talking about by "comp rebooted"?.

You are seriously in a whole load of denial to believe Playstation is going to smash and rule over everything, serious.

Pc gaming will never die though. Console gaming will though one day.

PC + ps4 seems more likely.
I 'switched' around 2005 yet still play on PC. I've just opted out of the upgrade race and am content with playing indies and the occasional big game on medium settings on my laptop. Also because I don't need a desktop for work anymore, thus less justification to have one. I did get a little bit of extra juice in my laptop (16gb i7 GT740M) which is just capable enough to run games in 1080p at modest settings. (for over $1000 :/)

It's just easier to play AAA multiplats on ps4, more stable performance, no hassle, physical copies, no distractions, no mods. It might sound weird to add that as a pro but I tend to go overboard and used to break my games with mods. Even without mods I managed to get Fallout 4 down to 5fps in Sanctuary by building too much :)

I thought you played that on the PS4??

Yes, I am. I'm using a glitch on ps4 to circumvent the size limit for settlements. It's mostly monitors (used as pixels for large signs) that bring the frame rate down (I used about 225) On PC I would probably have covered the entire Starlight drive in screen with monitors through cheats and make it completely unplayable.
