Haha :) Well, unless you're willing to really go deep on good mix and match deals and know what you're doing, it's REALLY hard to get a good gaming PC together for even close to the same money.

And to get one that's appreciably better for multiplats, it's more like double the cost more more.

I'm a PC gamer first, but you have to be honest about the realities on all sides.

I'm not even going to bother setting up an argument because I know this site well enough to know that it would be like talking to a brick wall so I'll just leave this here:

No wonder: PS4 has reasonable good specs with a low price and gets all the meaty 3rd party games running acceptably and also all the top notch exclusives nobody wants to miss. Also many pc gamers becomes fathers/mothers and they need console to share with their kids and not touch their pc, so I think many of them aren't leaving pc gaming, most likely have both ps4+pc (best wombo combo ever if you ask me).

OP: Well playstation was always strong in germany so nothing surprising.

Ease of use wins out, PC is not a true gaming device even if it can be more capable.

That and the second PS goes cloud or streaming, it takes over PC and hammers steam into a decline in to nothing.

Except for all those teens with low disposable income who don't really have the PCs that push 1080p/60 (or more in your case) constantly at ultra, so the switch to console would hardly be a big downgrade

PC + ps4 seems more likely.
I 'switched' around 2005 yet still play on PC. I've just opted out of the upgrade race and am content with playing indies and the occasional big game on medium settings on my laptop. Also because I don't need a desktop for work anymore, thus less justification to have one. I did get a little bit of extra juice in my laptop (16gb i7 GT740M) which is just capable enough to run games in 1080p at modest settings. (for over $1000 :/)

It's just easier to play AAA multiplats on ps4, more stable performance, no hassle, physical copies, no distractions, no mods. It might sound weird to add that as a pro but I tend to go overboard and used to break my games with mods. Even without mods I managed to get Fallout 4 down to 5fps in Sanctuary by building too much :)

PS4 is tempting indeed and I must admit I too have teething problems on PCs ...

I was merely taking the piss using a meme/pic of a phrase that has been uttered for years and still is by haters.

Also I found the near week old post digging to be deliberate if anything, especially after having scanned the site for all the other articles that could have also easily been posted and yet this is the only one posted here since ever, a bit odd considering the past few days you, me and Basil had made some PC threads and then suddenly a negative one turns up from someone who dislikes the platform (take notice how I use the word "dislike" and I bet someone will tab it as if I said "hater"). It just seems too much for it to be a simple coincidence, especially given the date of the article.

Also the reason I said "brick wall" was due to how some act towards explinations for PC gaming, every single pro is seemingly debunked or made the same exact level if not lower than the other platform (even though both are drastically different in many ways and both have different markets and yet people love making them look 50/50 split equal in every way when they just aren't), it becomes a pointless endevor, hell I feel the project some of us are working on over on Zarx's thread is going to become a major fail due to how it will inevitably be put down (but hey we could always use the victim card though right? =P).
