Definitely buying it but why can't the female characters look more like women instead of girls.

I've actually never played a Star Oceans game. What RPG is it most like, and is it a series where I can start on this one?

Star oceans are typically a action rpg with a sci-fi/fantasy theme.  You can play any of 'em in any row.

Look interesting. Lacks something... ambition and originality I think, I see insufficiency in every aspect like the battle system, the characters and how they are designed, the animiations, the grafical effects and so on... Genericness I guess.

Looks fun though.
