The stores are trying to save you money.
Not sure if any shop wants to take the risk of losing money on ordering it :P

Just wait for a price cut like Bayonetta 2 and Wonder 101.
Not comparing the quality obviously.
Hey! I played the Snoopy game the other day for an hour or so and it's really nice. I wouldn't pay more than 20€ but it looks good and it's "fun".
I haven't bought Devil's Third yet, too busy right now playing Xenoblade, which is good because it will be cheaper in a few months.

Price cut? It's not available anymore a day after its release, if this isn't some sort of mistake then the price will only go up.

Haha, that's true. But I doubt there will be collectors looking to add this game to their library so it will either stay at 60$ online or at the cheap video game section in retails in the following months to clear whatever shipment they received.

Collectors generally don't go for game quality though, so whether the game sucks or not will have only a small impact on its later purchase price.

Unfortunately, that's true.
Still, this situation is extremely weird, nobody informed that the game was going to have such a limited number of physical copies.

This isn't weird. I'm surprised NoA didn't just default to a digital only release. They likely printed the absolute minimum number of copies and basically only shipped pre-orders and a copy or two to any store that happened to request it.
