Forums - Sony - Sony: “We’re Always Open” to Acquire New Studios, There’s “Always an Appetite”

Yeah. Like "their own" never were independent/pultimlat studios...

Humanity, oh the.

Are you trying to insult me or something?, you sound like you have personal beef.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

would be interesting if they could buy Mistwalker to have a dedicated jrpg studio

I can honestly say that I've never really focused much on this part of gaming. The only studio I ever really mind is Naughty Dog.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

I'd say Psyonix because they're great and probably still cheap but I do want to have future titles release on PC.
So I'm hoping they won't acquire any more studios if that means the games will be banned from PC.

I've actually had that thought before, but as you said, it would pretty much guarantee their titles won't come to PC anymore so nope. I think Housemarque would be a good fit though.

Well, last gen they went to support Microsoft system, not Sony.
So... xP

because MS was willing to pay for their projects, I doubt their bonds go further than that

Mistwalker is small (and cheap to buy), yet showed they can handle AA-AAA projects, so I think it's an interesting option, but buying them obviously makes no sense if the main staff just quits after that - establishing a good relationship first is vital and MS might well be a step ahead in that regard

Naughty Dog and From Software would be good ones for sony if they could acquire them. Most likely though, Sony will probably acquire some VR devs to make some games for it.

ND already belongs to Sony

From has too many employees (because of juggling Sony games and DS multiplats), if they were bought they'd have to downsize and ditch part of the people working on DS

There's Insomniac but seems they don't want to stop being independent. Not sure if smart. They don't release any of their games on PC. If they keep being console only might as well stick with Sony

We want a bankrupt company to buy more studios?

Do we want Sony to close or something?...

I'm always after better games. They have my support to buy new studios and utput more and better games to PS4. They could buy Sanzaru they do their ports very well =]
