Forums - Nintendo - Rumour: The reason for Zelda Wii U's delay

If this rumour is true then we should be glad nintendo delayed the game and it has nothing to do with the nx. This rumour does have some credability because they mentioned twilight princess hd in their leak back in may, the post was apparently immediatley taken down on neogaf but a user saved the information.

* Beta testers thought the game lacked story

* Testers got bored moving from one dungeon to another in it's vast world

* Sidequests were entertaining but added nothing to the story

*Sidequests were mediocre compared to the sidequest's in Majora's mask

*At this point the game was almost complete

* After feedback nintendo postponed the release to work on the story and NPC's

* Nintendo fired some staff and hired new developers

* Nintendo then issues a Twilight princess remaster to hold fans over

This video was posted back in may.

So the game basically got delayed because the story sucked and the NPC's sucked.

Nintendo doesn't seem to be the kind of developer that sacks people without a good reason. Don't know if I believe this rumour.

Tantalus has been working on TP HD for like 2 years, so no.

It could have been anything (besides that Twilight Princess reason) but honestly I don't Eiji would have failed so hard on the story. Each Zelda game has always had a deep story. I do think it was almost done but I think they honestly wanted to add more features and we will learn about them in the near future.

Pretty much this. Just doesn't seem right.

How would you know that they started it 2 years ago.

They needed time to create a new line of Zelda Amiibo.

Ask stefl1504 for a sig, even if you don't need one.

What's kinda sad is that this could be a legitimate reason.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

sounds like a lot of nonsense speculation in the OP's post

Nintendo is pretty well known for being OCD about developing certain games, perfecting things so to speak. if the new Zelda is really a large open world then that is something Nintendo has never really attempted with one of their main IPs and definitely something they would be a bit nervous about and want to get just right

Why you delete a sentence about TP HD?

There was a sentence "Then Nintendo decided to develope Twilight princess hd to hold the fans over".
