They've been pretty common since I started playing this game again, and just now I played against five Dark Void spammers in a row, so despite not liking the idea of changing my team up because of one Pokemon, I have no choice at this point. Online is simply overcentralized around Darkrai, way worse than I've ever seen before, likely due to hacks being more prevalent nowadays. Detrimental this all is as it's hard to have good solid battles, instead the scrubs would rather auto-win with no effort. Well I'm not gonna cry about it, instead I'll just have to adapt!

The instant idea that popped into my head is Choice Scarf Infernape. Been meaning to try it out regardless, and it should be a good Darkrai out with Close Combat to OHKO. If they actually decided not to send out Darkrai as one of their first two Pokemon, I can U-Turn to save him for when they do bring him out if necessary. Also I'm gonna try switching out Togekiss' Leftovers with a Lum Berry so he can take a Dark Void then paralyze em while his teamate uses Protect to avoid it aswell. Been wanting to have Rotom W hold the leftovers anyway that way the combo with Pachirisu is even stronger with them both able to heal themselves (though Discharge less powerful without Zap Plate, but eh!).

So that's what I'm gonna do to start. If yal have any other ideas please let me know!

Use a Pokemon with Insomnia and Encore :p

Or you can have a Pokemon with Taunt

Or use Pokemon (Espeon) with Magic Bouncer though is a bit risky as Espeon is psychic

These are good, though few Pokemon have those abilitys so might be hard to work em into my team, and with Taunt you still have to be faster, and Darkrai is pretty damn fast. =/

Machamp with a lum berry? If they keep him in, Machamp should be able to KO with one dynamic punch. Even if not, they'll be confused, and might be close enough to death to bullet punch it. If they switch, whatever they switch is going to come in confused.

lugia with rocky helmet doesn't mind being asleep and just use him as a physical wall until he is awake.... then switch to ditto to do the same to him.... (if sleep clause applies)

a bleeding darkrai can usually be killed by mega kangaskhan's fake out

fast taunt user is also very effective such as the rare taunt talonflame...

deoxys and mewtwo with fighting move also outspeed darkrai...

if sleep clause is already applied.... geomancy xerneas is an option

Can Mach Punch really OHKO? A punch from Mega Lucario would be at 4x damage, but I don't know if that'd be enough considering it's low base power.

Yeah I mainly play doubles so hoping to survive until they wake up rarely works. I probably shoulda mentioned that aswell hehe.

The changes I made have been working pretty well, although I was caught off guard once by a Focus Sash, but simply double teaming it with Lumkiss would've worked. Another had a Lum Berry of their own and succeeded in Dark Voiding and killed one of my Pokes, but then Jackie Chan showed up. Otherwise Infernape has killed many a Darkrai, and funny enough the match is usually disconnected right after.

Dynamic Punch!? Ah right, that ability to make all moves used by and against him have 100% accuracy. Sounds fun until you run into that random dude with Sheer Cold lel. But yah this is a good idea aswell, keep em coming! ^_^

Eh... I've never ran into anyone running sheer cold.  If you're actually playing someone who does, you should probably beat them anyway.  But Machamp is highly underrated.  

You could also go with Machamp with Guts, teach it sleep talk, and Facade.  The status boosts his power, and facade does as well.

Or Kyogre with choice scarf and Water Spout...

Or Snorlax with Sleep talk.  

You can try Yanmega with Speed boost.  After the first turn (which you protect on) you should be faster than Darkrai.  You probably can't kill it with one bug buzz, but two should do it.  

Anyway you're kind of overthinking it.  Any Pokemon with a high attack, a good fighting move, and a lum berry will do.   Also, anything with high special attack or attack that is cchoice scarfed.
