What monopoly? PS consoles dominated for two gens and there was no issue. There were a lot of games and people enjoyed them. Now, there's more ways to play games than ever. Even Phil Spencer said they're going in on another console. Playstation doesn't have the market all to itself. There's really no need to be upset.

I am not saying there was one. I said I am worried that this might become too one sided... or did you forgot what happened the last time a game company became complacent?

Yes MS with the 360 on the latter half of the gen and then with the XOne. They didn't have a monopoly though, they even weren't market leaders.

So what's your point?

There are other ways to shaft the consumer. Thinking Sony is above that is ludicrous...

I agree with him. Your concern seems largely unfounded. The last time a company (or companies) became complacent, they paid for it. On the flip side, the last time things were "one sided", the dominating system went on to be regarded as one of the best (even THE best, for many) systems to ever exist.

Make no mistake, I GET your concern. But the last time Sony dominated like this, we were flooded with games. I have no problem seeing that happen again.

Back then we didn't really have much to be concerned.

Rootkits, by the way...

I still don't see any reason to be concerned. In fact, because of the age of information, I'm even less concerned.

With the huge amount of games coming out next year, and still some sony dev not announcing there game yet thia gen is going to be awesome!!!!

Its already better than last gen in my book.

Whoa.  PS4 is inching towards that 50% marketshare in the US.  I wonder how close it is to that in the UK.

Looks to me that October's poor sales were because of people waiting for better deals in November.

This might be a trend from now on; at least for this generation.

72K for 360 lol
23K for PS3 double lol
<5K for Wii triple lol

So The Greatest Lineup in Xbox History leads to a 65k increase in 2nd biggest month of of the year compared to that of last year? Lol, wow. This month sure was interesting.

Chart Time! First off, here's some requested by BraLoD. First off, here's how each system performed in its third November (or the November of their second full year, if you prefer):

And now for the all-time top 15 Novembers:

I'm still formatting my other charts. Should have them up in a few minutes.

Are you sure about the gamecube figure being right?
Edit: It's right!:P
