Looks like Tomb Raider sold less than the reboot on PS4 and Xbox One. This is the most complete and utter failure of the 8th Gen.

Oh my goodness. You see no one every said that the game was bad or tried to pin the poor sales on CD. However, that does not take away from the fact that the sale represent a collosal failure.

What monopoly? PS consoles dominated for two gens and there was no issue. There were a lot of games and people enjoyed them. Now, there's more ways to play games than ever. Even Phil Spencer said they're going in on another console. Playstation doesn't have the market all to itself. There's really no need to be upset.

I agree, and that's why I think there's very little possibility that taking a considerable hit now would end up not working for the next generation. I see the NECESSITY for Microsoft to lead console sales this generation at least in the US, but UK would be a great addition. They do not need to cut the Xbox One price in other parts of Europe and Asia. Focus on US and UK just to have a good chance to succeed in the next generation. All I don't want is one console (no matter which one) with 80% of market share and with it's company doing whatever they want (I know this is not the case this generation).

I am not saying there was one. I said I am worried that this might become too one sided... or did you forgot what happened the last time a game company became complacent?

Yeah, they tried to do a 24 hour check in on their games. I don't think Sony plans on doing anything of the like.

It's just down YOY for November right? Last I checked they were up YOY in general thanks to the New 3DS launch earlier this year.
