Starting your op saying people that play on Xbox being brainwashed and that PS games are of a higher standard, saying that games on other consoles are not as good as those on PS and stating all that like it's fact won't get you only friends.

Just like others said you knew what kind of thread you would get when you created it. But you can act all surprised.

Like pbroy said, time to let it die.

You're back tracking a little.

First off I do feel that MS purposely say stuff because they know that their fanboy army will hang on to every word, repeat and twist it all over the net. Not strictly talking about here but all over the net. The no games stems from MS  and Aaron Greenberg and also their moto of the year "best lineup ever" to purposely try and compound they had more AAA exclusives this holiday. This annoyed me a little and many Sony fans a considering we had AAA games like MLB, Bloodbornes, Until Dawn and NDC this year. Because Sony spread their releases Aaron decided to use it against Sony.

Now you can say I'm being harsh but it's my opinion.

Other than that, not many people even mentioned it but just went on the attack because they either feel they can't defend it so lash out or just want to derail and make false claims. I suggest you go and check how others behaved and stop concentrating on one thing I said and making up things I supposed to have done.

I didn't realise this was such a sore subject for some. Some people are so sensitive to an opinion that is plausible. And I'll say it, some people need to grow up

The best line ever has always been about Xbox. Best Line up in Xbox History and that's it. They were right and next year seems to be even better next year for those playing on Xbox. The same can be applied to PS owners.

You could be right, never doubted xb1 having a solid lineup.

Guys there is no need to compare lineup when we arent sure how many of those games will be delay. Some of them dont even have release date

I agree

I own PS4. I like it but don't love it. But I'm absolutely amazed by the way the sells. I must admit though that I've convinced about 6 or 7 people to purchase one this holiday. Got some nephews hooked on Uncharted and The Last Of Us and some friends are Star Wars nerds.

All these opinion threads about how PS4 has so many games and X1 does not, just reeks of low self esteem. You are fans of a great console, there is no need to put down on other consoles this way, because it doesn't make your console of choice any better or worse. All I get from a thread like this is that some PS4 fans haven't been happy with the year so far for the playstation and needs to lash out at other consoles to feel better.

It does seem to be a pat yourself on the back thread. Especially since according to the stuff written in the OP, it's simply a given that Sony has vast amounts of first party stuff in the pipeline and it's going to be better than what MS first party stuff does because of "Playstation standards" and "track records". And since it's factual, there doesn't really seem to be any room for the discussion he asks for at the end, except I guess to just talk about all the first party 2016 games that Sony has coming? And how much better they are than the MS games? Again, because of standards and track record. That amazing track record of first party PS4 titles. Since this is just a given, why does the title say opinion? It would apparently be like me making a thread saying in my opinion, the sun will rise tomorrow. Based on my standards, and the track record of billions of years of the sun rising in the morning. Discuss.

By the way, I hope Sony really does have a gargantuan amount of quality titles on tap for 2016. Not just because it would give me a reason to use my PS4 more, but because they have been on a pretty large drought lately, dating farther back than just PS4. I hope Horizon is good, because then Guerrilla won't have to waste any more time on Killzone. Though, it wouldn't surprise me to see Horizon delayed.

I think it's more a case of Sony for a long while have always gone for variety, while MS always seems to make the same stuff over and over, and just dont seem all in like Sony are when it comes to studios and games. I mean the last two years of XB360 were terrible for game releases, while sony released a crap ton of games, and I know some people will go, I didnt like those games or the quality was lacking, but not everything has to be the best game ever to be a good interesting game.

For example I am playing MadMax and it's the most boring exciting game i've played all year. I would rate it in the 70-78 range, but it's still an entertaining game and if there were 5 games that were like that, that would be better than 0 games like that... if you see what I mean. Variety and numbers, that's the only way you'll match all these different peoples expectations and opinions on what games are good. Sony seem to be good at that, while MS are not.

Also what with Fable and Sea of Thieves, MS are now chasing the multiplayer only/microtransactions/F2P model, I just cannot get excited by that because the only reason people make those games is to make money, and it's not about making content for the users, and to me thats where MS always fall down. It's their attitude.

I think 2016 will be a better year in terms of sales for both platforms. Honestly, I don't see the number of exclusives as a good argument, but it surely is a valid one. Exclusives releasing in 2016 that I would like to play:

PS4:
1) Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
2) Horizon: Zero Dawn
3) Gran Turismo Sport (2016?)
4) Ratchet & Clank

Xbox One:
1) Quantum Break
2) ReCore
3) Gears of War 4
4) Scalebound

For me, Xbox One and PS4 are in the same level of quality for 2016, and I don't think sales numbers can tell exactly who has the best games. There are a lot of facts behind the huge lead that PS4 has.

Another important point for me is third-party games and exclusive content. In this part, I think Sony is in way better position. This year is with Call of Duty and Star Wars, while Microsoft only have Fallout. Next year the deal between Sony and Activision will probably continue, so I think it's time for Microsoft to look at some great third-party deals, like Mass Effect and Battlefield.

About sales: I think Microsoft should drop the price of the Xbox One to US$ 279 or something like that, because even when their console was cheaper, Sony got a lot of months in the US. Logically, if they are being sold for the same price, the diference in sales will be even bigger.

2016 is definetely PS4's year. If Sony's lineup isn't delayed, PS4 will have a great year.

The bolded is a contradiction. If not everything has to be the best game ever to be a good interesting game, then the last two years of the 360 were not terrible for game releases. There were plenty of awesome games. They caught a lot of shit on the Internets because those games were not AAA world exclusives. I mean, we all remember that image, "exclusive retail exclusives" where 360 had almost nothing and PS3 had a few impactful titles (sales wise anyway) and then loads of Japanese niche stuff. The narrative then against Xbox was only big retail titles mattered. The narrative now against Xbox is all titles matter.

Sony also has F2P, multiplayer only, and microtransactions. So does Nintendo. It's simply the direction gaming is headed. There are plenty of great F2P titles, even on consoles. I don't consider F2P to be inherently bad. Microtransactions, depends on the implementation. PvZ GW did it right. Last of Us Remastered, idk if I have ever seen such a great game ruined by DLC greed. So again, not inherently bad, but MicroSony has shown in the past they can do bad things. I have skipped all the Forza's on Xbone for DLC shenanigans. I have no doubts U4 will be a cesspool of shitty DLC too. It's just the gaming industry we play in now. You gotta pick your battles wisely.

As far as variety goes, that's one of those narratives that looks great on the Internets but in reality when you look at sales charts the vast majority of people buy the same games in the same genres and the same big franchises and sequels dominate the top sellers on both consoles. I'd delve deeper but this shitty thread has already run its course for me.

I dont agree, but hey thats life. Most people say that MS went missing in action the last two years for the 360, if you dont agree, well thats fine.

In terms of F2P, again thats a personal opinion, and I think sales of most F2P games do badly.... it's only really special ones that get anywhere. Fable will fail badly, and Sea of thieves will do poorly because of it.
