I remember last gen when it was more or less the other side that got that lser treatment, though not nearly as much bad as things are now, people like Jim Sterling even made articles on said team way back then on how they behavaed, I;m not going to link it because I know the can of worms that would unleash. The annoying thing about all of this is that it will never change, if MS has an amazing next gen and Sony an ok one then I imagine sides being switched and the same behaviour kicking off, all because people are so heavily invested in pointless wars.

I know what you're refering, but call me dumb, I though when one team is clearly dominating the people would calm down. PS4 is winning, and already won this gen, why they are getting so anxious about killing Xbox One. Xbox One is a good machine, has a good library and is getting better, it's not a menace for the PS4, let the people live and enjoy, why they are coming for blood like that everyday?

At this point, this is how I feel. Selling more isn't enough. Having more games isn't enough. Having better reviewed games isn't enough. Having more powerful hardware isn't enough. It's like Xbox isn't allowed to have ANY good buzz! The war is over but the attacks continue.

It's mostly due to having suffered an actual loss for once and they are displaying the signals that they don't ever want to feel or be in such a position again while everyone else so far as been hubmle and used to losing quite a bit by now. What Jim wrote those years ago more or less holds true for me, at least in the way the other side acts towards all the others. I honestly don't see why others want to see another fandom suffer or lose out, unless of course they have rock bottom self esteem would be my guess. THe thing to do is just make a mental note throughout the gen and by the time the enxt one starts just dish our all the recorded notes like a record player until the unhumble side either becomes humble or gets seen for what it acts like.

Hell even Spencer came out with "I don't think we can ever win this gen, Sony's got it in the bag", I don't know how it gets any worse then that when the ehad of the console front for Xbox admits they cannot make a comback, Sony didn't say or suggest anything like that last gen that made front page console news the same way it did for Spencer. I think some people are just really salty about losing for the first time last gen and having to take the back seat for a portion of the time.

Imo that's a loser mentality. Like in sports there are those that think winning is all and they only want to make fun of others by reashing how faster they were at sprinting... those winners that embarrass themselves after they win... you know those who believe 2nd place is the first loser... yeah... 

Meanwhile some people just like the hobby and are able to enjoy gaming no matter the platform.

Why can't you say 1 console will have a better line up than the other without people taking it badly.

You have to ask yourself what's worse, me having a opinion that one side will do better or people acting angrily and attacking because surely if you have an opinion on one side doing better, you must be a fanboy.

People questioning self esteem, yeah right, because I'm the one getting offended by somebody's opinion. It's like a bunch of angry toddlers who just had their toy taken off of them in here sometimes.

That's what happens when you pass your "opinion" off as fact. 

Not a diffuclt concept to understand. 

Liking games on a console is ok, thinking it has the best lineup of all platforms because they catter more to your taste is all fine... stating that others have bad tastes or have been brainswashed by a company isn't though and you should deserve the backlash.

If you just talk about why you like PS more and less about why the competition has nothing good then you should expect others to voice their opinion as well.
