I blame Wii Fit: Pachter edition.

Honestly, this man bounces back and forth so much with his predictions, why do sites keep taking him seriously. It's like I said before, someone needs to make an analyst/pachter thread to archie all of his predictions and compare his stances and how quickly they change every week. These analysts will be held to what they say.

I'll believe Wii-Fit will be a stellar succes in the West when I see it. When it comes to Nintendo, I know better than to make predictions of success.

I don't recall where I saw it, but someone had an breakdown of the accuracy of various analysts' forcasts. If I remember rightly, Pacter was by far the most accurate, BUT he was still wrong a good amount of the time.

Ask and ye shall receive...

Seriously though, its because he makes more predictions, with obvious results. He never goes out on a limb. It's like he'll say "The Wii will sell well when SSB:B launches."

Things that are easy to predict, basically.

Those aren't predictions to the knowledgable internet entheusiast, but they are to the "gaming world." They are more like obvious probabilities. Yes. Patcher is the best at stating obvious probabilities.

There is no doubt about that.

Still, he has gone out on a limb and said the PS3 "could" begin to outsell the Wii in 2009 at some point. That's his most far reaching "prediction" to date, and if the PS3 outsells the Wii for one month, I gurantee the entheusiast press will chalk another one in his win column.

I could have 100 percent accuracy if my "predictions" were as obvious as his seem to be. 

I suspect Pachter started to frequent VGC.
