I'm still confused OP. Where did you get the FY 15 data from cos that doesn't end TI'll March?

Even more interesting will be if they announce NX for 2017. How much would they expect to ship in the next year?

I agree that the sales are bad but it won't be under 10M in FY16, Wii U sales will be around 3.5M and around 7-8 M for the 3DS, so it's more like 12M, lower shipments you say?

It's all one year forward just role back each year by one.

In the first 6 months of 2015 (Apr-Sep 2015) this have been the shipments:

3DS: 2.28M

Wii U: 1.19M

So according to you expectations, you believe in the next six months Nintendo is going to ship:

3DS: 4.72M-5.72M

Wii U: 1.81M

That's not far off, but with Nintendo we don't know. Anyway, 12M for a full year is catasthropic after shipping 57M.

It would be the lowest combined shipment number in god knows how many years. I doubt Nintendo is interested in finding out really. The likelihood of Nintendo not launching NX in FY2016 is ridiculously low. But then again, you still see people on the forums saying they expect NX to launch in 2018, so...

I wonder if that people understand how bussiness work.

Yeah, things aren't looking good and this shows that NX is really needed... and it really needs to turn things around for Nintendo.
They better come swinging or they will be stuck in third place again for a whole generation.

They need 2 things: let parents know that they can play cheap with the handheld and let core gamers know that the home console will be what they would expect from a MS or Sony console.
Those are the two main weaknesses that Nintendo needs to take care of.
