I love Prime and I love the controls in Prime 3. But I enjoyed Prime so much more cause it was completely new. By the time I played Prime, Prime 2 and Prime 3 I was rather bored of the whole backtracking, exploring experience. If not for the controls I don't think I would have enjoyed it at all.

I really think the backtracking was fixed in prime 3. I also liked how you weren't limited to one planet , and how there were more cutscenes to get you into the story. I think this is how it goes prime 1 >Prime 3>Prime 2. I like the sidescrolling metroids even more. SO  Metroid>Super MEtroid>>>>Metroid 2>>>Prime 1>Prime 3> Zero Mission>Fusion>Prime2>Prime Hunters.

Metroid Prime 3 controls>Metroid Prime and 2. The controls in prime were horrid. Lock On targeting was what kinda made the game not the best metroid game to me. Prime 3 controls I believe are the best on the wii to this date. It even rivals some computer games. I believe the reason why you think the worlds are less alive is , because you are getting used to the art direction. I think prime 3 is an overall better game , but that is your opinion. I just felt I had to tell you that I disagreed.

Lock-on targetting is the only thing that has made the controls in any of the games remotely bearable. Without it I qouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in any of the games I imagine. And the reason I think the worlds feel less alive is because the art direction is worse. There were beautiful places that flowed together very nicely in Metroid Prime while everything feels sectionalized and seperate in Metroid Prime 3. I should not feel like I just entered Stage 2-3 while playing a game that emphasizes exploration.

MP3: Corruption has passed Echoes. 110,000 to go until Super Metroid.

Something I noticed today....
There were no copies of Corruption at either Target or Wal Mart today. I can't see them discontinuing one of the million sellers at these stores....so were they sold out? Or perhaps Nintendo is clearing the channel to get ready to introduce a Players Choice version. Probably wishful thinking on the latter.

Good! I hope it becomes the best selling of the bunch. I love the controls!

Guitar Hero 3/ Smash Hits

My favorite Metroid game. Followed by Metroid Prime (the first) then Super Metroid after that.

Exactly the same for me. I was a bit dissapointed with 3's ending, but everything else was just incredible.

This is difficult to imagine...unless two things happen.

1...Nintendo releases a waggle/point version of Prime and Echoes to gather more fans to the series...

2...Corruption becomes a $20 players choice within the next year.

I'm not sure either will happen, so I think the best we can hope for is it taking the number three spot behind Prime and the original.  I can see it settling at about 2.35 million.  That's about 400,000 short of the original.

Won't pass either of them. Not a chance.

it could happen with a price drop or as a pack in with the wii never say never
