Profits on Amiibos... instead of makeing profits from really good games, they make plastic figurines instead. |
Indeed... Plastic figurines that are sort of worthless. People crap on the other console makers for making DLC characters but Nintendo adds characters to games via Amiibos and it's wonderful lol.
PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS
A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

That's what I said. If person A sees Call of doody at 60 and exciting new IP at 60, obviously he's gonna risk his 60 dollars on exciting new IP. What better way to get people to buy those games than to force feed them that full price tag? Anyone got a better solution? Didn't think so
If anything this shows Nintendo should reverse that youtube policy.
The thing about goodwill is, its hard to build, but so very easy to destroy.

The reason why yearly series like COD sell very well is because you can buy them and a certain quality is guranteed. There is little to no risks of being completley dissapointed.
| Roronaa_chan said: Have to agree. Not enough though, there's more they should do: Increase game prices from 60 to 100 dollars Make 50 dollar season passes a common practice with every release Increase PS+ and Live prices to at least 25 dollars a month Used-games killing DRM Release new console models every year and block the previous ones from playing new games Speaking from a business standpoint of course. |
They could also increase prices of their consoles by bundling them with more games and not reduce the prices yearly.

I would say other companies benefit a lot more from word of mouth than Nintendo does. Its silly for them to bite the hand that feeds them, its silly for Nintendo to do it as well its just not hurting them as much because they have special agreements with the people who specialize in Nintendo content.
Sony, Microsoft and others are not stupid. They know it promotes games. It's Nintendo who needs to follow others.
"Hey, you know, we're getting a lot of free advertising right now on the video services."
"What? No way, we need to cut that out. Do some copyright stuff so that the amount of content drops way, way down and less people see our games."
"You know, though, that if we do that, it will generate a lot of negativity and it will leave our competition in a position where they're getting almost ALL the free advertising?"
"Who cares! What value does free advertising and consumer goodwill have when weighed against a relatively small source of income? Answer me that!"

o_O ??? What side are you on, buddy ?
Us, the gaming community or frackin corporation ?????
