Great rebuttal...truth hirts bro. You chose your platform....no one forced you to do anything, knowing full well these games always live on PS.

Truth don't hurt at all, but you certainly seem to lothe me a lot =P.

I'm waiting for real infos. Quickly made PR aren't really the best infos yet, and that would be strange that the banners were mixed four times in a single show.

Ni-oh was "Ps4 Console exclusive", No no Ps4 exclusive....there is nothing to be confused about they said it on stage...And re-confirmed on Twitter....What do you mean quickly made PR? They are not gonna say it's exclusive when it isn't, get real. Other fanes desperate for ps4's games lol.

Simple, really. This gen is all about timed exclusive, console exclusive, DLC exclusive, and so many stuff like that. Just look at all the exclusives that got ported elsewhere. So now I'm (and a lot of people too if you look at neogaf or other gamings forums) looking very closely to every statement made when a game is announced. And when Ni-Oh, Yakuza 0, KoF XIV and Ni No Kuni 2 were showned, they weren't absolutely clear it was a PS4 exclusive. Some of them were described as "Debut on console on PS4" (which means timed exclusive, translated from PR), and some were "PS4 Console exclusive" (which means will be ported on PC, or at least won't come on Xbox One). And then you got the "Only On Playstation PS4 Exclusive" which are the true exclusive games for PS4.

So, errors are often made about exclusivity, remember that Metal Gear Solid V was announced on twitter as a Xbox One exclusive, and remember that Dragon Quest Heroes was announced as a PS4 exclusive too. Deals change too, and PR is all about dodging the point and just try to reassure the fans.

I'm planning to buy a PS4 for myself, as well as an Xbox One. With this thread, I just want to be sure that people who buy console for exclusives (like me) know what games are truly exclusives, and what games aren't.

Just give me FF VII:R and Ni no Kuni and i'm good.

Also I'd count the same for games like XCOM 2, I'm pretty sure despite no mention of current gen systems and being claimed by the devs that it's PC exclusive, I'm sure in time things will change for that, anything this gen so far can change and be made possible.

Nice to know I'll definitely be getting these on ps4. I can understand people on other platforms holding on to a bit of hope but if you like all these you'd be crazy not to get a ps4.

VNs are also released for the PC usually as well, though they are very popular on home consoles.

Now that I have had more time to think about my explanation, I can also give you two additional reasons why a Japanese company with a passionate fan base would choose to avoid putting games on PC. Putting a game on Steam drives down the prices of a game. Level-5 and especially Atlus like to maintain high prices on their games (as does Nintendo, though that's neither here nor there). Since their fan bases are passionate, they will buy the games at their high prices. Secondly, both Atlus and Level-5 work with both Sony and Nintendo extensively. Not putting their games on PC or other platforms (which would sell relatively insignificantly) might get them more bargaining power with either Sony or Nintendo.

Well I guess they'll never get PC money if that's their true line of thought, more for other devs that try I guess, I'll support those that do though.

It's no different than a lot of PC devs missing out on console revenue.  Just look at the massive success warframe was on ps4.

It works both ways.  some devs go with pc,  others with console and many go with both.

I'll always hope and at times said hope is rewarded. I'm sure you would do the same for games on other platforms, I mean you'd be crazy not to get most of them.

I forgot both platforms were very equal in just about everything, my bad. (not being sarcy btw)

I think it's just a way for the publishers to keep the door open for an NX port in case that actually takes off.
These types of games just don't sell enough on XB1 to bother.

Well the first Ni No Kuni didn't sell that well on the PS3(like 500k maybe), so I'm not sure why Level 5 would limit their reach of who gets this game. I really hate when stuff reaches cult status and everyone starts throwing around Ni No Kuni as another reason you should own PS4, but these same people won't go out and buy these games.

Do me a favor, Sony is doing a bang up job getting PS4 exclusives and PS4 first software to the console. So at least try supporting them by buying these games first when they come out instead of the yearly trash. It saddens me to see Sony's 1st party games not sell as well as Call of Duty or Assassin's Creed on their systems. I just hate seeing fanboys using these titles as fuel for their Internet wars but have no interest or real plans to ever buy these games.
