Forums - Sales Discussion - Rise of Tomb Raider Xbox1 sales number falls hard in the 2nd week in US

Lmao, this game never had a chance of matching Uncharted, what this game has sold by march 2016 Uncharted 4 will beat in its first week. This game wad a huge flop.

In the US for the 2nd week of sales, Rise of Tomb Raider fell to 20th, only selling 31k (during the busy mid-Nov months).  Less than half of Uncharted Collection which came out 6 weeks ago.  Not sure if this game will have legs like everyone says it will.

People play "Soccer" in the U.S too o_O ???

I'm shocked, but glad as well :).

A very small percentage of people in the USA care about Soccer.

In before "I think 99% of sales were digital".

Good to see that someone didn't forget this compelling argument.

Pretty sure everyone is happy with the sales. Spin people told me so.

Yes. I cried. So what?

*sniff*

Its like if Microsoft didn't know their fanbase, I still remember how SunSet Overdrive was pretty much given away for free a year ago and still didn't reached 1M.

Why spending money on buying third party exclusives when your fanbase only wants to play FPS. You can criticize the DLC policy MS had last gen with Call of Duty, but at least it worked and moved consoles.

I have high hopes for ScaleBound in 2016 but that is just another slow moving car crash sales wise.

Maybe they're trying to expand their fanbase with games that should appeal to Sony and Nintendo fans.  Unfortunately, those fans aren't taking the bait and good/great games are going unplayed.

Didn't they try that already last gen with X360's JRPG's? That didn't exactly work out for them.

You're right. If I were M$, I would wonder what I had to do.  Releasing good games, capable hardware, decent prices, cool features, etc just isn't getting the job done.
