Wasn't the Wii the best selling console last generation.

A best selling console can have a variety of variables. Price, launch date, adoption, etc.

............and finally the best selling console is not always the most powerful, again I use the Wii as an example.

My Console of choice is Xbox One. You choose what you like.

Just food for thought.

Except this generation it's both! Best and most powerful

Which console are you referring to ?

It was never about teh games.

thats sad

Well it is next gen xD

Good luck arguing against PS PS2 PS4 being the best, since they clearly were and they sold way way more then the rest. Nes and Snes were also easily the better options and sold better. So other then the anomaly of the hotly disputed 7th gen, all signs point to the better seller is the best console.

I agree it doesn't mean the best selling is the best. I mean if 90s Sega suddenly reappeared with a new console and put out that quality of game again, even it sold a million units. I'd be the best console to me and I'd own it regardless of price. When people talk about the best console, they mean to them specifically.

Op seems a bit insecure that his choice is the Xbox one and it isn't selling the best.

people arguing about UI difference? Call me old fashioned but i thought it was about the games.

Nah. It's about Sony eating Sega and Nintendo's lunch back in the 90s and the loooong standing grudge that's been lingering since. I take it that Skies of Arcadia icon is a dead giveaway. Solidarity with MS to challenge Sony for sweet revenge and all that gobbledygook.

Good for you... I think?

I just hope not everyone is desperate enough to make a thread claiming "I like my console!".

At some point you just have to let stuff go and grow up. It's sad cause i was that guy, i was the BIGGEST Sony hater when they first came out. Could have sworn it would be another 3do, but guess what? they got the games and buttloads. Facts, And Sega and Ninty had screwed themselves, facts. What was I supposed to do? Miss out on the next Street Fighter cause im in my feelings? Naw

And are both being threated similarly or not?

You know the answer to your own ?

My opinion is that MS fanbase gets a lot more leeway here.
