Pretty much a shoe in for Ps4 for December. Amazing job done by Sony, not a great year for games, but it has been not bad.

Very much looking forward to 2016.

Great move by sony with the whole bops3 bundle for 350. They need to justify the price increase after the holiday sales and if not done properly it can cause problems similar to what the xbox one had in January 2015. Now consumers are used to the xbox one at 299 how will Microsoft justify the price going back up without seeing a massive drop in sales? They must introduce a halo5 bundle for 350 or else keep the xbox one permanently at 299.

I think a cheaper Halo bundle would have done wonders for them, I understand why they didnt initially as you dont do that with new big 1st party releases, but I think it's worth considering for them now.... probably from January to add value back at $350.

I am amazed that Sony havent started doing a cheap bundle with say Knack/Infamous, basically cheaper games for them now. Next Halloween Sony should do an until dawn bundle.

Going to be interesting to see how this works out, but I think you are spot on when you say Bops at $350 is a great way of increasing the cost without looking like they are doing what MS did the year before. People will still see the value in a console+game... and sometime later Sony can then phase that bundle out and be left with a $350 console again.

To be fair to MS, most of the things on that list may well be ill advised in hindsight but all they had to give themselves a chance. I don't think they so much 'played it wrong' as 'had no other options'. The only thing I would say is a legitimate 'played it wrong' is the release date of Tombraider, but an interesting post over at GAF on that subject has given it perhaps a different slant. I'm all for thinking around things rather than immediately calling it stupid, and whilst the GAF post sounded a little conspiratorial, it is worth keeping in mind the idea that 'failure' could have been the actual objective here. The theory went that Crystal Dynamics no longer wants to the work with SE so they make a backhanded deal with MS to give SE a reason to let them go and so free them up for an MS purchase. We'll see, but I'm certainly watching this space carefully.

And kudos to X1Gates for actually having a conversation. I expect my fellow Amazonians to bare this in mind too.
