Of course is was worth it, would you turn down almost half a million sales? They made all their money back and more on the sales of ps4 version and the game was developed on that console and ported to Xbone so anything was just a bonus that sold on xbone.

Sure, because porting from the PS4 lead dev platform to Xbone is absolutely free!! No need for extra development time, QA, marketing $ or anything like that. Once they're finished with the PS4 version all the developer has to do is click on the big red "Port to XBone" button and bam!, instant free X1 bonus version!!

Isn't this game on PS3 and 360, too?

It certainly wasnt worth it to port the game to Xbox 360. The game could have been so much better if would have been designed with blueray in mind unstead 2 DVDs

So the 360 version held back all five versions?  That's how this works?

I think being console exclusive at least would have been better for konami in my opinion but can't really prove that,
just imagine the free marketing for this game being exclusive or console exclusive.

Yeah because its the lowest dominator dueto using dvds. They could have maybe released it digital only

Clever little boy. My point is all that money was made back through ps4 sales. Porting cost a fraction of the price of main development so like a said, if they were told it would sell half a million on Xbox they would of still ported it. And are you thick in the head? The button isn't red it's green.

It was worth it. That is more than enough revenue to justify the cost of producing the game for XB1.

The Order sold more than that and it was considered by many a flop. Why?

No one said it was a flop saleswise. People just say it's not a good game

at $60 a pop that'd be $24million, nothing to be sneezed at, can't imagine anyone crying pre order cancelled because it's on the X1 and PS4 would have $24m to spend on gaming if I'm honest.

The publisher does not get the whole $60 though. I'm not saying MGSV was not massively profitable for Konami, but it is wrong to state that the whole $60 goes back to Konami. I think they get $25-30 after the retailer, platform holder(Sony, MS etc), etc from memory

I like the assumption of easy port when we end up getting games with a lot of bugs in one platform and very underwhelming performance.
