Yes it is. not one piece but dozens of pieces are.

It doesn't matter how many peices it has, but whether the circumstancial evidence can be linked solely one way or the other (2016 release only, or any release 2016 onward). If the evidence presented on the NX releasing in 2016 can ONLY be linked to it releasing in that time frame then yes, we could use that circumstancial evidence as proof the NX will come in 2016. But this EXACT same scenerio played out from Wii to Wii U, and the Wii U came out a year and a half after reveal. In this case you cannot use the "evidence" gathered that it MAY release in 2016 and use that to say it WILL.

it was confirmed by nintendo that 2016 will be the year for NX. at E3 2016 the platform will be presented and they are aiming for a later 2016 release date. anything else is on the table

Where did Nintendo state they were aiming for a 2016 release date of any sort? 

So far the evidence:

1: Zelda U was delayed a year (So was Skyward Sword)

2: They did say they would reveal NX at E3 as well as show Zelda U (They showed in depth Skyward Sword footage with the reveal of Wii U)

3: Wii U sales are bad (Wii sales when they revealed Wii U was even lower than Wii U's are now, it didn't make them rush Wii U to market. Also keep in mind Wii U sales spike when they release 1st party software for Wii U, not so much with the Wii at the end of its lifecycle)

None of this is proof that NX will release next year.

If we add the stipulation that it has to be the home consoles replacement I'm in.

Yep absolutely, it is only concerning the release of the home console. If the NX portable releases in 2016 and the home console doesn't then i still lose and you win.

It won't be out in 3 years. But I'm still calling that it won't actually release until 2017.
