Forums - Nintendo - I'm not getting Xenoblade Chronicles X because it's too confusing.

Thank you for letting us know. Not to be rude, but it seems like many of the things you're posting simply do not need their own thread.

Lol, you can say the exact thing for literally every opinion thread.

Xenoblade Chronicles had a ton of stuff you could do like:

adding gems to equipment
customizing party members
finding a unique team to match up against any battle
finding out whether to use Physical or Ether attacks
skill brackets
the whole aggro-agility-defense triangle
and all those heart-to-heart events

yet i was able to work my way through the gaming using just Shulk, Reyn, and Sharla. i changed my equipment every boss or so but that was it. it can be as complex or as simple as you want

It's not that confusing. Stuff needs to be leveled up and it will take some hours. Sure a lot of stuff needs to be leveled but once you get into the game things should start to click. I will be going head first into this game next week. It will beat the twitch based games I have been playing the last few months.

These sorts of games are meant to be taken in moderation. It's a learning process but it's built around fun. I understand how you feel. I felt the same way about Xenoblade Chronicles but I kept playing it and by and by I began to understand the game better and better. I'm not gonna stop you from not buying it. But you have the chance to be a part of something great. But hey, it's your 60$, but let me tell you this:

I didn't get into JRPGS until I played simpler ones. Dragon Warrior Monsters, Pokemon, Final Fantasy 4. Then, when I knew what the simpler ones were about I wanted to get into more complex ones. One game that bridged the gap between complex and simple, to me, was Xenogears. Yes, it's a bit more complex but it got me into Xenoblade Chronicles and now XCX. Go back and play older, simpler, GOOD, JRPGS and then return to XCX. That's my advice.

Bruh, they have mechs that fly. I'm getting this game.

Nah not really.  Some opinions are more valuable than others.  For example, if your opinion is, "I believe the Wind Up Bird Chronicle illustrates a shift in Japanese attitudes towards ambition in the pre and post war era", that might be more worth discussing than an opinion like "I like Skittles".

In this case, I don't think "this game looks complicated" warrants a topic, particularly with a popular game that has been discussed in several topics, and will likely have more topics devoted to it within the next two weeks as it releases.  This is combined with the fact that TC has been making a number of topics that are not particularly substantial.

It bothered me.  But hey, if nobody else is bothered, then I guess it's my problem.

Lol, you sound like you're contradicting yourself. You downplaying this guys thread because you didn't find it as valuable to what your standards are, you can LITERALLY say that for every every opinion thread. Your Wind Up Bird Chronicle thing, someone can easily say that his opinion is not needed because whatever he wrote is not valuable to his standards, that's literally how opinions work.

It does look confusing, even for me. And I'm a huge RPG fan.
Trust me, they don't just throw everything on you at once. They slowly ease you into all the options so it doesn't feel too overwhelming.

Exactly, the same thing happened to me with the original Xenoblade. I watched other people play and I was really worried it was going to be too confusing for me, but I was happily proven wrong.

Currently most hyped for: FFXV and Zelda U

I like this thread because honestly I was kind of thinking the same thing.. Like I don't really have enough time to play this game i feel.. I mean how long does it take to do the story if I avoid most of the side missions? does anyone have any idea? Because I really don't have 50 hours to put into a game at this point in my life I can play a game for 2 hours probably one day a week and maybe 30 minutes here and there lol. It sucks I know. I want this game but just dont know if its worth it for me.
