Universal healthcare and Health Insurance companies can coincide rocketpig. its what we have in australia.

My parents have health insurance and can see specialists and get treatments covered by that.

i dont. i saw the doctor yesterday. it didnt cost me a dime.
My partner had an operation. didnt cost a thing.
i cut my finger badly at home a few months ago. i went to a clinic for xrays, then a hospital to get it sewn up, and also had my blood works done, and i went home without a single bill. every western country other than the US has it (according to "Sicko")

universal healthcare isnt socilist, it isnt evil, its just there.

I never said it was evil, just that not everybody wants it and people have intelligent opinions as to why it's a bad system. I'm not saying the current American system is worth a damn but there are definitely negatives to socialized medicine.

@damkira

Did you not see the reason I posted that?

I also wondered why he didn't get your obvious sarcasm.

I knew you were being sarcastic... I was augmenting it.. A lot of people think McCain would be somehow better than Bush.

While McCain's opinion on the war in Iraq is similar to Bush's, the similarities between the two pretty much stop there. Even they differ on points about the war. Personally, I think McCain would be a much better Commander in Chief than Bush ever was.

It is not a matter with Obama of not being able to name one, it is that there are not any.

Go back to the first page and read my response on how you can find his policies and get some background on his experience, instead of wallowing in media-fed ignorance.

You probably couldn't see it before because I suffered an injust temporary ban :|

Although that may be true, McCain's worst move was to continue the war.

It's a lot more difficult than just keeping going or stopping. Seriously bad things could happen - much worse than the shit going on now - if we just bail out of Iraq.

If we're going to leave, a well-executed exit strategy needs to be formed to even give the Iraqis hope that their country won't collapse or get invaded right off the bat. Just leaving is not the answer. We created this fucking mess and we owe it to the Iraqis to not bail out with our tails tucked between our legs. We need to give them a legimate shot at making it as a nation once we're gone.

I agree Rocketpig. At this moment it does not matter why we went there, We ARE THERE. Now what do we do since we are already there? As you say, we cannot just leave. I do not want to see us there for another 25+ years... I would rather that the Iraqi Army take over, but at this moment I don't know if they can.

We cant just leave like all the Democrats are pushing for. Obama and Hillary can say they will pull out soon or whatever but they wont. It would not only lead to an Iraqi civil war, but a Muslim civil war. Every Islamic nation in the region will be investing in that war to gain influence. Iran will provide support for the Shia and will probably push them to victory and we will have another Islamic Dictator in power.

McCain understands this and knows that we need to secure Iraq before we leave it. You break it you buy it.

Exactly. It's a difficult situation that will take men much smarter than me to sort out.

Ask yourself this:

Do you think Obama has the ability to sort out the Iraqi situation efficiently and intelligently? What international or military experience does he have?

Do you think McCain has the ability to sort it out? I do. I lost faith in Bush long ago but I think with the right approach, this disaster can be righted and we can get the hell out.

I also think Hillary might do a decent job of it, mainly because she's going to have Bill to rely on in international matters. I can't stand Hillary, but right now I think she's more equipped to handle America's problems than Obama is - though IMO, neither are as qualified as McCain.
