While McCain's opinion on the war in Iraq is similar to Bush's, the similarities between the two pretty much stop there. Even they differ on points about the war. Personally, I think McCain would be a much better Commander in Chief than Bush ever was.

Although that may be true, McCain's worst move was to continue the war.

It's a lot more difficult than just keeping going or stopping. Seriously bad things could happen - much worse than the shit going on now - if we just bail out of Iraq.

If we're going to leave, a well-executed exit strategy needs to be formed to even give the Iraqis hope that their country won't collapse or get invaded right off the bat. Just leaving is not the answer. We created this fucking mess and we owe it to the Iraqis to not bail out with our tails tucked between our legs. We need to give them a legimate shot at making it as a nation once we're gone.
