I believe that both people have to be online at the same time for it to register that you added each other.

I will 2nd this. My friend and I added each other, and for 2 days it said "awaiting registration" for both of us. However, when he called me, and said let's have a match, we both went online and "awaiting registration" changed to "online."
And as for your 2nd question, there is still probably too many users trying to go online, so it's still wonky.

Yes, I know they have to add me back, and they have, yet nothing changes. I still have the "Awaiting Registration" sign up right next to my friends' names, ALL of them. My Brawl code is: 1203-9035-1258 Also, I have another problem: When I try to play a "With Anyone" match, I just stand at the waiting room til' I get disconnected and sent back to the main menu. If you have any idea how to fix this, let me know ASAP! Thanks, Pete. P.S. My wireless connection is really good, so that isn't the problem. |
Hey man I had a similar problem recently. I was able to add all of my friends except for one, who is still "Awaiting Registration". Same goes for the online matches until I resorted to online forums for help and came across this site (https://www.opendns.com/start?device=nintendo-wii). Ever since I changed my DNS, I've been able to connect and play "with anyone" without a hitch.
Sucks that my game randomly freezes up on me and I now have to ship it off for repairs.

Curious. I'll have to try that out later tonight.
Edit: Yeah, that did nothing for me. Guess I have to hope that Nintendo figures out how to make this crap work.
Good thing there's enough awesomeness in Brawl to carry it without online. I don't think I'll count on any of the games I buy having working online from here on.

Maybe your router is preventing you from playing online through your wii. Once I find out more info on it i'll post it here and on my thread as well. I remember reading somewhere about manually changing your wii IP address and allocating it as the designated IP. I'll edit this post once I locate the source.

You both have to be online at the same time. You should just go online in Brawl and let it sit there, just leave your Wii on and online at night or whatever, that should work. :p
