We should all just wait for next gen when all these games are rereleased in real 1080p and 60fps..

That and the day marketing and hardware are in complete sync both factually and truthfully.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Just like 1080p games on PS4 aren't going anywhere. And you failed to point out that Uncharted MP runs at 60fps.

To top it all off, Naughty Dog, one of the most graphically capable studios on the planet, announced that Uncharted 4's multiplayer would be 900p on PS4.

Eh? :p

60fps.

And Fallout 4, Need for Speed, Dark Souls 3 and Rise of Tomb Raider all run at a native 1080p.

I never said 1080p PS4 games were going anywhere.

So, in all your 900p PS4 examples, except for Syndicate, the games are running at 60fps - CoD (drops in resolution are unnoticeable - DF), Uncharted 4, Battlefront.

Those three games do indeed target 60fps, though some achieve it more consistently than others. In these instances, resolution was seemingly sacrificed in favour of performance.

Looking further back, we have Battlefield 4 and Hardline which also target 60fps at 900p, and Assassin's Creed Unity and Watch Dogs which target 30fps at 900p.

Then there's Magnetic Cage Closed, which has the dubious honour of being 720p/60fps on PS4...

Early in the generation, titles like Battlefield 4 (which was 900p on PS4 and 720p on Xbox One) were ruled out by many as casualties of developer unfamiliarity with the new systems, who said that as time went on, there wouldn't be anymore PS4 games that fell short of 1080p, or any more Xbox One games in the sub-900p range.

Two years later, I think it's safe to say that sub-1080p PS4 games and sub-900p Xbox One games are here to stay.

In the last month or so, Star Wars Battlefront 3 shipped at 900p on PS4 and 720p on X1, Assassin's Creed Syndicate joined the PS4 900p club, while Black Ops 3 employs a dynamic resolution that drops below 1080p on PS4 and below 900p on Xbox One.

To top it all off, Naughty Dog, one of the most graphically capable studios on the planet, announced that Uncharted 4's multiplayer would be 900p on PS4.

Just like with the numerous sub-720p games on PS3 and 360 last gen, many developers are prioritizing other graphical elements over raw pixel count, and at this point, it looks like this trend will continue throughout this generation.

you forgot to mention that they all run @60fps, except for Assasins Creed Syndicate which isnt really known for being optimised Unity showed (they are punished now in sales by the way). Last geneneration many games run at sub HD and 30fps, its not comparable with this Genenration.

MGS 5 looks superb and it looks better than those games including Ucharted 4s multiplayer while it archieves a performance in 1080p/900p and 60fps on next gen consoles

I didn't forget anything; I noted that the resolution was traded off for other graphical elements, one of which is framerate. And it's comparable to last gen in that many developers took a similiar route on PS3 and 360, dropping below the standard 720p to divert power elsewhere.

And it's nearly 2016, PS4 and Xbox One are well and truly current gen by now. :P
