Both Devil's Third and Project Zero are great games, but not for western casuals. Amiigo Festival, Smash Tennis and Rodea just a trash. 

We already knew about all those games before this year began, years in advance in the case of Zelda U, XCX, and Woolly World. This year's announcements are the most telling of Nintendo's current attitude towards Wii U since development on these games most likely started after the system was clearly not going anywhere. After E3 and a Direct, we've only gotten 3 newly announced games for Wii U, being a barebones tennis game, a party game that plays itself, and port of a gen old game. Yeah Pikmin 4 is also a thing, but for Wii U is not yet confirmed. The fact that they didn't unveil it in the recent direct despite it supposedly near completion leads me to believe it's for NX.

Remasters are fillers, and the other were delayed posible to make them cross gen, which makes them fillers the other one is a PORT! So yeah, they are in filler mode.

Didn't Iwata offer an apology for the lackluster E3 presentation? Or according to some, didn't Star Fox was delayed after the lukewarm reception? Didn't Reggie addressed in many interviews that Federation Force is not what people wanted? Didn't Twilight Princess got its artstyle because fans asked for a more realistic Zelda? Didn't Xenoblade, Pandora's Tower and The Last Story got published after the rainfall operation? During E3 2012 Iwata was not on stage because he was using his PC and social media to see reactions of the presentation.

I'm pretty sure they listen to the fans.

Yeah of course, but theses games (Mario Tennis, Amiibo festival etc) are specifically made to be filler games for the end of the year. I don't think they could do better since they were made as rushed games for holidays.

Hyrule Warriors is a filler until the next Zelda game was supposed to release in 2015, and it was good. Mario Golf on 3DS was not a bad game according to some. They have prove to be able to make good fillers games, no excuse for this poor attempts.

This is exactly why I bought a PS4 shortly after I saw how the rest of Wii U's life cycle was going to be after that godawful E3. I've never seen a system drop quality as quickly as Wii U from 2014 to 2015. Get your shit together Nintendo.

I wouldn't say that Hyrule Warriors is a filler, same for Mario Golf. Hyrule Warriors is more of a spin-off made to appeal musou to Zelda fans. Mario Golf is just a Mario Golf. And more importantly, these two games aren't absolutely rushed for holiday, both of them (well I didn't played Mario Golf but I heard it was good) are full of content and polished.

I'm not trying to give excuse to Nintendo for Mario Tennis and Amiibo festival, they are shitty games and Nintendo deserves this blame, I'm just saying that spamming on social media isn't really useful in this specific case. 'cause the purpose of these games was to be rushed for holidays, not to be good.

And that lead us to the primary problem: delays. If they delayed games that were supposed to be released during this timeframe, they should have had other ready to cover. Maybe these two were planned to come in 2016 but rushed to holiday 2015 to fill the gap, while the 2015 delayed games are now 2016.

Fingers crossed these games get the splatoon treatment. Free dlc later that adds in what the games were meant to have.
