It's tough to decide between Star Fox 0 and TPHD, but I guess Star Fox is a bit better overall. But if it was Skyward Sword vs Star Fox Zero, I'd say Skyward has the edge tho!

SS HD will look fantastic. :)

Yeah! Hopefully they do an amazing remake/remaster of it for the NX. Imagine an improved Ghirahim model... that would be fabulous!

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Art style is so good that they basically they only need 1080p without any other graphical improvements.

TP HD for me

Pretty much what Zekkyou said.

As a remaster, Wind Waker HD looks better than Twilight Princess HD, simply because there is a more obvious improvement, but going by the games themselves I've always found Twilight Princess to look much better than Wind Waker. Even if the graphics of Wind Waker have never been something I had a problem with. I also agree with the posted picture though, Skyward Sword is easily the best looking of the three. It's too bad it was held back by the Wii system graphically.

There's been easily more work done on TPHD than WWHD. WWHD didn't get anywhere close to that level of texture overhaul and, contrary to popular belief, most of the particle effects were already in the original. The biggest changes were in the lighting and the skybox aesthetically. Everything else is pretty much identical to the original.

They probably didn't use the same lighting trick on TP because it would look worse on TP than it did on WWHD. It wouldn't show well because the nature of how poorly that game aged. It would probably make all the characters look like papier-måché in an incredebly unflattering way.

I disagree that SS looks better than WW, but it has aged far better than I thought it did.

I'm just sitting here wishing Tantulus did Metroid Prime instead, though... This kind of remaster would have actually worked for that game since it's aged graphically far better, and it's controls have aged terribly from the GCN. A change to the Federation Force control scheme with a map on the gamepad would have been a dream.

WWHD, no contest.

It's a shame they didn't improve any of the lighting, character models or environment.
I mean, we sort of knew it wouldn't be a complete overhaul a la Halo 2, but it still would have been nice to see a greater improvement beyond texture work (I realize texture work is a lot of work already, but still...:/).
WW always had the edge though because it didn't age nearly as bad. It just goes to show how much better a more stylized artstyle holds up. Zelda U will still look amazing when they do the eventual 8k remaster in ten years...

This is whole point, people think Nintendo put more effort or resources in WW HD because its look better, but reality is that game looks better because of art style even TO HD required much more work.

Likely yes, what I meant though is that the improvements for WWHD seem more... 'in your face', compared to the texture improvements in TPHD which is a more subtle change at a glance. So less work more gain kind of thing, but it's a personal thing, nice lighting and shaders have have a big impact on me usually.

Wind Waker looked better than Twilight Princess on gamecube, same applies ten year later.

Wind Waker.  Simply because of the art style they chose for it.  even the original holds up well...so when they remade it, it really shines.

Dolphin

I mean WWHD.

Well tbh I still prefer TP Dolphin over TP HD.

Why? Twilight princess on dolphin still has those awful textures, where as Twilight princess hd has brand new textures.

You and I must be looking at a different version then ebcause the one I am seeing looks a lot more pleasing to my eyes than TP HD. Not to mention the amount of tweaks that can and will be made to it rather than a slap of textures and that's it forever until the next remaster.
