Wait, so what is the purpose of the packs? Are they required?

they're basically day 1 patches. Purpose is to make the game run smoother/faster

Shulk is the main character of the first game. He is voiced.

The second game has a player-created avatar that is not voiced, at least not in story cutscenes. Instead, you choose from dialogue choices presented in text.

So, no more shulk...

RIP: "I'm really feeling it"

Actually, the battle lines are still in AND Shulk's voice is an option for the Avatar to use.  So I almost guarantee you that line is in there as an Avatar battlecry :P

They're more like the installs many PS3/360 games employed to circumvent optical drive throughput by streaming from HDD.

In a sense. Too bad they eat up a ton of memory. Basic one is 2 gb, but for all of them it gets to be over 8gb

10GB in total, which is a bummer when your console only comes with a 32GB hard drive...

Is there a comparison between physical with data packs vs all digital?

I just looked up Xenoblade X's file size. It's 22.7 GB. How do they expect us to download all of the patches and the game if we buy the game digitally? Not to mention there won't be space for anything else

SD cards are cheap. Buy a 64 GB for only 20-40 bucks

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.

Digital doesn't require the data packs, as they explained in the Direct.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering. I've already preloaded.
