So the title says it all. I think there's a big chance that 2016 could bring in the biggest software sales for wiiu. According to vgchartzthe software data for other years were...

2012- 4m

2013- 15m

2014- 24m

2015(December 12)- 21m

And next year there are lots of big tittles for Wii U that could beat 2014 in software sells. We have

Star Fox

Zelda TPHD

Zelda 2016

Pokken Tournament

Mario and Sonic Rio OlympicGames

SMTXFE

Project Treasure 

Plus all the legs games like Splatoon, XCX, Mario Maker, Mario Kart 8, and Smash Bros could help out.

Nintendo should have gotten Zelda U out this year. I know it takes time and I'm willing to wait for a great product. However, the Wii U suffered from not having an original "REAL" Zelda for 4 years. This thing will push units.

Zelda WiiU is pretty much the only game on that list that is going to sell extremely well. Maybe Pokken.
And the announcement of NX could hinder sales a bit.

I'm not sure the Wii U total software will be over 80m by the end of next year. After 4 full years plus an extra holiday season that's pretty bad for the system. Will it ever make it over 100m software sold. I'm not so sure. And I don't see a big improvement in software sales next year.

Would love to be proved wrong but I'm going with my head on this one.
