Where are you up to? :)

Yeah, I deliberately avoided spoilers before playing the game, so while I'd heard there were multiple endings, I went in blind as far as having no idea what they were, or what the criteria were for deciding which I got. XD

I highly recommend the Fatal Frame games on Wii if you enjoyed the Wii U one. They're very similar in terms of core gameplay and style, just obviously with Wiimote controls and simpler visuals. 4 is actually the scariest of the bunch for me.

It's a damn shame Nintendo never brought 4 outside Japan or 2 to North America. Thankfully, both can be played with rather straightforward homebrew hacks.

Same, lol. xD

Sounds good to me! Hopefully someone figures out a way to hack the Wii mode in the Wii U to allow homebrew, because I don't wanna have to get out my Wii for it. I was holding out hope that they would bring them over when they announced FF5 for localization, but whenever the game went digital for NA I kinda knew there weren't any plans right now, which sucks.

I'm only at the 3rd chapter. I started it, but haven't been able to get back into it. I really didn't like what I played in the beginning, so it has been hard to get into. I will try to get back into it though tomorrow.

The early chapters aren't the game's best, I'll say that much. Once you get up to the 'dungeons' and other sequences I won't spoil, things pick up.

Yeah, I was def getting that vibe when I started. After playing the previous FFrame games, this one was making me cringe a bit in the beginning. The team has done so much better than this.

Hacking vWii was one of the earliest accomplishments on the Wii U. Since it's basically just the Wii inside the Wii U booted in a sandbox environment, all it took was reworking some hacks to get a functional hacked Wii mode on the Wii U. I don't know if it took more than a few weeks for the vWii to be cracked wide open, really.

Huh, I had no idea it was already done. I'll have to look into it. Just don't want my account to be compromised or anything, lmao. xD

Chapter 4 is when it really started to pick up for me. If you're a series veteran, a lot of tropes will be familiar, but this didn't bother me as I'm a fan of said tropes.

Hah, now I'm curious about these tropes. I should be able to pick them out once I reach chapter 4.
