Forums - Nintendo - Zelda fans, I have two big questions about TP hd.

Fair price for TP HD (not including amiibo)

$20 8 6.25%

$30 23 17.97%

$40 51 39.84%

$50 30 23.44%

$60 16 12.50%

Total:128

I do not have a very good memory in general and haven't played Twilight princess on wii or gamecube (i have both versions) for about 3 years so I need something clarified. From the trailer (below) is the layout of TP hd based on the original gamecube version or the mirrored wii version?

I must point out that i will definately be getting the game, sure the geometry and lighting seem largely untouched but the biggest problem twilight princess had was those muddy n64 standard textures. Those textures now look beautiful and so the game is no longer an eyesore to look at. My second question is what pricepoint do you think represents value for money? I'm a zelda nut so i would have no problem paying $60 (around £38 in my country).

Also i really think it would be a great idea if Link's crossbow training could be included in the game, maybe not as part of the main game but available from the title menu from the start or maybe unlocked after completing the main game. They could also include leaderboards.

There's actually a really easy way to tell, the reason they mirrored it was so Link's dominant hand matched that of most people playing, so if he's left handed it's based on GC, and if he's right, Wii. And in the trailer for HD he's left handed, so it's probably based on the GC version!

it's just the same game with hd textures and amiibo features, i'd rather just use an emulator with hd textures

It's the Gamecube version. Or at least the map is. Link is lefthanded and on the on-screen map in one of the pieces of footage, Lake Hylia is on the left side.

GameCube version. I can confirm you because I'm currently playing it.

$60 seems like a rip off for a remaster, especially since it doesn't look like there's any added content besides amiibo support.  $40 for the game and $50 for the game+amiibo sounds fair.

That means TP HD could have the free control camera, you know where you use the yellow c stick to pan out and scope the area. Also i remember when aiming with the bow and arrows the gc version changed into first person shooter mode where as the wii version was in Third person shooter mode meaning you could see Link's head and shoulders when aiming. I wonder if both options will be availible.

I actually hope so. But I hope for TWW/TWWHD free camera system, because TP is not as good. Also, first person should stay.

Is it? Thats great cause I have the GCN version and its superior imo to the motion control infested mess that was on the Wii ver.

From https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob3oTKYqvxs0:57 onward in this video from the Direct there's the mini-map in the bottom left corner showing the lake in the west of Hyrule.

Isn't the bundle with amiibo and soundtrack up for pre-order for like 50$ ?
So I guess the game on its own will be 30 or 40$
