So Nintendo spent a long time during the Direct going over early 2016 games for the Wii U and 3DS (a LOT of 3DS) and there was one game I kept expecting to get an update on that never showed up. That game is Metroid Prime: Federation Force. It's supposed to be an early 2016 game (I think), and yet we heard zippo about it today. Why do you guys think that was? Has it been delayed because Nintendo realized they needed to change a lot after all the negative reaction? Do they simply not care about it? What's the deal?

No clue, another 2016 game that I noticed was missing was SMT x FE

I suppose Federation Force and SMT X FE are for late 2016 then. They said they were only talking about 2015 and early 2016 games

Maybe it's not a high priority atm.

Probably won't be released till mid-late 2016.

Probably didn't see the need to show it off as people are still upset over it, and games coming out late 2016 didn't get coverage as they want to show more games coming out sooner

My theory is they knew the mere presence of the game might piss off a lot of people, so they left it out. They didn't want negativity on the first post-Iwata Direct. They'll advertise it through other means.

Maybe it'll only release in August... this is a Metroid tradition after all. :P

It would also "help" to crowd the 2nd semester for the 3DS line up and give more time to polish/fix it.

even before the direct cause of the backlash the game got Next Level decided to make some major changes to the game in terms of both gameplay and art style and it cause to basically go silent for a while not as long as SMT x Fire Emblem silentness but possibly could be as long as next E3 is when it resurfaces with some major changes.
