Nah, a holiday 2016 release makes most sense and based on Nintendo main teams dev cycles, it will have plenty of games ready.
Zelda will most likely be a cross-gen title, unless u really want NX to release in 2017 and not have a Zelda title until 2020 at the earliest.
Console 3D Mario take about 3 years to make, Galaxy-2007, Galaxy 2-2010, 3D World-2013, Mario NX-2016
Mario Kart releases every 3 years, DS-2005, Wii-2008, 3DS-2011, Wii U-2014, NX-2017
Retro Studios games release a little over 3 years apart, Prime 3- Aug 2007, DKC Returns-Nov 2010, Tropical Freeze-Feb 2014, NX Project-Q2/Q3 2017.
Game Freak releases a new Pokémon generation every 3-4 years, 1996, 1999, 2002, 2006, 2010, 2013, 2017.
That plus smaller outsourced titles and 3rd party collaborations give it a strong 1st year lineup.
