Forums - Gaming - That Nintendo Direct was all bad news to me

The only thing i did not like about it, was finding out that now i am poor.
I want, literally, everything showed besides Animal Crossing and Yokai Watch.

Heck, i thought Mario Tennis was stupid when i saw it for the first time, but now i actually want it (but not for $60). I think E3 was just the wrong moment to show it.

Even Fire Emblem, being unquestionably the worst showcase of DLC from Nintendo (even more now), i want...

It doesn't look like a GameCube game. Otherwise, I didn't like the direct either. Too much about Amiibos, DLC, exclusives in bundles (Ex: backgrounds), etc.. It was just a lot to handle.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Lol they made mistakes, im just buyin zelda games guy

So let's recap what we know:

1. You are only interested in a couple of IPs to begin with.
2. Nintendo makes a lot of games that aren't a part of those IPs.
3. You act surprised that a 45 minutes long Direct doesn't show more than a couple of games that you are interested in.
4. I'll slap you around until you abandon your own thread.

LOL nah you cant because I was not surprised. You can see me in other threads where I say this Direct will suck because Nintendo always makes mistakes not me.

And some of the games they showed I am interested in... But they are taking forever to make and they look bad.. So I ask. How is that a mistake of mine? you make no sense mate.

So what would have been in a good Direct?

umm a good looking starfox game.. Twilight Princess actually looking like it deserved to be remade. And more Zelda Wii U footage. Also if the release dates were sooner also could have made it better.

Better graphics = Good direct

Some amazing priorities right there.

That's all?

If one of those things happened I probably would have been satisfied

Star Fox doesn't look much better, but hopefully they can tweak it some more.. online multiplayer is probably a for sure no now..

TP HD doesn't look that good, but glad it's coming. Probably won't be getting it though since I already have the original..

Zelda U was going to be a holiday release, so it's hardy surprising.. hopefully it doesn't get delayed again though...

What disappointed me the most was FE Fates split into 2 versions D:

My thoughts exactly.

I agree that the other things OP mentioned were pretty disappointing, but the fact that Fates is still split into 2 version in NA kinda bugs me. :/

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Zelda Wii U was obviously going to be Holiday 2016 from the moment they announced the delay. It was obvious because they simultaneously said it wouldn't be shown at E3, which essentially ruled out the possibility of a release before E3 2016.

Fates being split into two versions wouldn't bother me if the price was more reasonable. If the base game is $40 and each DLC expansion is $20 separately, how is $80 for the whole shebang supposed to feel like a deal? It's the same as buying them all piecemeal. You get an art book... whoopie. I'll probably get all three, but I doubt I'll touch the map packs. Expecting the same amount of effort put into them as the Awakening maps.

I guess everyone has their opinions...Personally I was very impressed with it. The first half didn't really interest me as much, but a lot of the RPGs and smaller games really drew my interest towards the end. Looking forward to Fire Emblem and Xeno still...and the Star Fox gameplay made me interested in that game finally.
