Forums - Gaming - Is Fallout 4 going to break the internet?Eli5 the big deal

The game is just terrible. Bethesda has killed Fallout. It doesn't help that the Witcher 3 came out this year which makes this game look like complete dog shit, indie title.
The world feels lifeless . It's hard to care about anything because the story is terribly boring. Choices don't matter. The mass effect wheel makes dialogue a chore and you have to guess what you are going to say. The writing is high school level (or even worse at times). It's just a generic FPS made for the consoles. I could go on forever.. It's definitely not an RPG. Definitely not Fallout.

Around the Network

Bethesda.

Fallout 3 and Skyrim were massively well received by both the enthusiast media and the mass market. New Vegas also helped push the Fallout brand really well. Its natural that the next release from Bethesda on a new generation of consoles will be hyped through the roof.

This one having an air of controversy surrounding it is just more fuel to the fire.

And if you think the hype surrounding this is crazy, just wait until they release ES6.

And i bet you haven't even played the game :-/.  The game is actually really enjoyable - and is a fun universe.

I've even heard from my xbox friends that its better than halo (excluding the multiplayer component).
