Well some dude in Pokemon tweeted that we should watch the direct. Does that change anyones mind?

Junichi Masuda is one of the main representatives of GameFreak aswell as beeing the composer of the soundtracks and co-director in the development of games so him suggesting to follow the Direct means certainly that we'll get some news regarding Pokémon games, now since the tweet was in Japanese the only two possible games they might be planning to show off are Pokkén or a completely new game...

Eh. I just want this game to come out already so that we are a step closer to Pokemon NX. This gen has been particularly disappointing when it comes to Pokemon. So lackluster and phoned in.

I have an unsettling feeling the pokemon game will just be Pokken : X

So you don't feel like there could be a gen 6.5 in the X/Y sequel adding let's say 50+ new Pokémon ?

I think that's exactly what Z will be, but that's not all it takes for the game to be good. The writing for these games have been well below the standards of the series, as well as the world building. If the story of Z is as good and well written as the Looker and Delta Episode post game plots, I will be satisfied, and even then, I expect big things fron gen 7 that just aren't happening on the 3DS hardware.
