according to Digital Foundry the PS4 version is the safest bet, in their own words:

"on balance PS4s performance is on better shape overall"

however the Xbox 1 has and advantage on the PS4 in certain shootouts with a lot of build up.

Looking at this, can we please treat Tidux as a joke figure like Pachter. Anybody using Tidux's "Insider" information from now on as gospel, will be getting personally laughed at by me.

Did you even read the article and saw the videos there ? The framerate is pure shit and its dropping all the time, he did not lie.

I went to a source I trust, in digital foundry to find the truth of the matter.  Its easy enough to not install a day one patch, just for dramatic effect and some FUDing.

Sigh, i was talking about digital foundry article... Both version have very poor framerate dropping all the time, did you watch the videos or not?


Dropping a couple of frames here and there, in a pretty smooth 30fps experiance, is a long way from the quoted - Terrible, broken mess, with serious issues where it is commonly in single figure fps Tidux was quoting.  The latter is what everyone jumped on to dance their fanboy dance.  Looks good enough for me.  I'll happily enjoy getting stuck in after work later.

I assume that is Diamond City, I don't know because even though a quest to go to Diamond City was available to me a couple hours after playing, I'm now at 15 hours and have not even thought about continuing what I assume is the main story quest. That's the glory of Fallout :)

So I guess one area in one city might have a glitch with frame drops or something? I don't know. I'm struggling to understand how a short gif somehow outweighs my opinion of 15 hours of playing the game? My original comment stands. If something like the gif ever happens to me, I would mention it.

Still, a far cry from the hilarious hyperbole in this thread about what a glitchy and shit performing mess the game is LOL. I am glad reviewers and DF are putting the FUD in its place.

Maybe subjectivity comes to play here? Not dismissing the smooth experience you had, glad you are enjoying the game. I want to enjoy to if I decide to buy it myself.

Lots of reviews mention glitches, bugs and framedrops. As for DF, the frequent stuttering they discussed would be too annoying for me, even though it's a non-issue for you.

Well, it looks fine on the PS4, but I'm not so sure how representative these clips are of the X1 version.

I always find it funny when people complaint about games, if the game is not up to your standards of quality just don't buy the game for god's sake...That is the best way to tell a developer that they're messing up.

Also when people get criticized for liking a game despite its flaws,  I mean seriously this is the 4th game in the series, if those people actually cared about the bugs and dips in framerate they wouldn't be exited for the game,but yet they are because they know the game will be awesome despite all the negative issues that surround it.
