I'm thankful to retro studios for making the best trilogy in gaming history. I enjoy playing the metroid prime series more than any other game.

I'm thankful for Sony pushing blu-ray with the ps3, leading to a quick end to the format war and making high quality uncompressed surround sound a standard in video gaming as well.
I'm thankful for MS for making game development a lot easier and pushing indie games onto consoles.
I'm thankful for Nintendo for still being the best place to play games together with my kids, and off-screen play for when they want to play alone.

Above all I'm thankful for all the developers that keep going despite all the harsh criticism, long hours and stress full deadlines.

I'm thankful for Nintendo DS. My favourite console of all time with a lot of great games made from various producers and companies and for having no updates, making it flashcard compatible :p

I'm thankful for Nintendo as a whole, is what made me love videogames and the reason why I keep playing them today, it also helped me make friends over the years, so yeah, I thank Nintendo for the years of fun it has and continues to give me.

Thankful for mods/modders for giving us an unlimited amount of options we can do to our games.

Thankful for Nintendo for bringing gaming back from the brink.

Thankful for MS for giving me the X360 gamepad.

Thankful for Sony for giving us Crash/MediEvil and making platformers more widespread.

Thankful for Valve for wading through the darkest times on PC to bringing PC gaming to better times.

Thankful for Blizzard making an MMO that consumed my years (part of my soul too) and inspired others to try competing with it in order to give us new and interesting MMO's.

Thankful for Crytek devs, Chris Roberts and others for pushing graphical boundaries to silly limits.

That there's still room for Nintendo and that games are somehow still just $60.

Thankful for From Software for making a game with a weird mesh between lovecraftian horror and twitchy action gameplay that just works.
