I'm not an English teacher btw, I do I.T. support work and training both on site and over the phone, which is a very odd one, since I am still speaking English to people but half of my job is translating complicated terms in English down to easy to understand nuggets for the people I work for to be able to understand what I'm talking about.

Well we still don't have an official number from Sony so we can only go on these estimates.

No definitives though so we cannot say any of these estimatations are to be taken 100%.

Cesa's estimate fits with the 82m figure from ign article (I used cesa report for backing-up the figure from IGN interview), unless you are one of the people who considers it a random thing, and not something that was elicited by the sony executive. :P

Anyway, the topic is about contradicting vgc's  huge adjustment up back in april due to the news about 600k psvita sold in Spain,(10.3->11.6m), not so much about cesa's paper!

Anyway: (Well, don't take it as a gospel)

Ioi had psv at 10.3m as of March 31th, while the shipments were at 10.16m-10.21m based on the estimated 9.76m units shipped as of December 2014 (before adjusting up by 1.3m ->11.6m, most of it went in europe),ergo he was moderately overtracking it! Apparently, it's the surplus of 400k which comes from 2013! edit: Some people haven't notice in the op the source saying that psvita's sales since its lauch till January 2013 were at 4m, while here were at 4.4m. http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2013/jan/04/playstation-2-manufacture-ends-years

The tracking was decent, the adjustment up ruined it though! Usually vgc errors aren't huge, and there are succesful/perfect or aprroximate numbers, but this kind of error can't be ignored! Mostly, the issue is the adjustment back in April...

In consequence, psv was likely at 9.9m units sold by March 31th  with 300k units on the shelves, reasonable, for it's selling rate...

If we're assuming these numbers are correct, then probably not quite yet.

Vita as of 31st March 2015 = ~ 10.21m shipped

WiU as of 31st September 2015 = ~ 10.73m shipped

Depends how much you think Vita shipped in the last two quarters (April 1st - September 31st).  Last year it shipped 0.7 > x < 1.45m in the same two quarters of the year (can't work this out due to PSP being some of the shipments, but it's likely a very small amount, I'd say it's safe to assume Vita shipped more than 1m in the two quarters), so I'd say chances are high it's still ahead.

Maybe by December 31st if WiiU has a good holiday period.

Of course, I can't dictate what it will be discussed here (although in an answer in a similar comment, I said to keep that topic it out of my thread like I'm the head, but the post was taunting allusion about my console preferences, so I replied abruptly and what I said, it was in the heat of the moment), so do it freely  my friends...:P

1m in six months, so 500k+500k, isn't this somewhat excessive given how badly it perfoms in the vast market of NA/USA?

This thread is making my head ache.

Even though I believe the PSV is massively overtracked thanks to that adjustment (though not as large as tak thinks), it really pisses me off that it got to this point in the first place.

Long story short, the way ioi handled this "tracking error" thus far has been appalling to me. Adding every bit of the adjustments to Europe is not a good way to handle this situation.

And, tak, please tell me you're interested in remedial English. You'll want it for people to take you more seriously.
