I always felt Goty, Oscars and awards in general is complete bullshit. 
I don't like when something objectively is decided to be better just because Media, Press, general journalisme liked it, when it is just their opinion. 
Their opinion isn't more valuable then others, yet humanity believe so. 
If i don't like a movie, expressed it in public, there is always that idiot who say: It got great stars and recommendations.. Me: So? Just because they liked it, doesn't mean I SHOULD.  It's all about PR and giving people a good impression to increase sales.

Bloodborne is easily the best. It's the most consistent and polished game of the year. The entire game felt 100% legit.

I played many other good games this year also as grim fandango hd, hotline miami 2, ori , halo 5 ( campaign is a shit but i playing too much the warzone mode ^^ ), final fantasy type-0, final fantasy 10/10-2 hd ps4, j stars victory +, pes 2016, nba 2k16, yoshi wolly world, etc.

And people say japanese games are this and that. 2 out of 3 games of year according metacritic are japanese(MGS5 & Bloodborne), and Xenoblade chronicles has a serious chance taking the witcher 3s place away as well.

MGSV is a massive disappointment to me as a MGS fan. It's not a bad experience (it's actually quite good), but it doesn't feel like MGS. I value the aspects that the game shred over those that it adopted. I really feel that critically MGSV was reviewed in a bubble (due to the Nazi camps) and we're seeing divisive thoughts by gamers themselves.
