Which year has the best games?

2015 17 11.33%

2016 133 88.67%

Total:150

This is what each year gave/is giving to me:
2015 had Batman and Metal Gear Solid and will have Just Cause

2016 has Zelda and Uncharted and Final Fantasy and Yooka Laylee and Mirror's Edge and Far Cry and Ratchet & Clank

Point goes to 2016

2016 for me, the amount of games coming out that I want is going to do better than 2015 and make up for 2013/14.

Also hopefully a better year for stellar ports and no AK's.

Going to be an amazing year for PC gaming.

Both don't seem that good, especially for Nintendo

but I'll go with 2016 because Zelda U (hopefully) + Genei Ibun Roku + FE Fates (maybe)
compared to
Splatoon + Xenoblade X

Are you a Nintendo only gamer? I was asking because both the XB! and PS4 have loads of great looking games linded up for next year. I don't know much about the Nin lineup ourside of Zelda and Pokemon so I can't really speak on that one.

That's right, I currently only have the Wii U and 3DS for Gen 8..

I also want to get a PS3, since PS4 doesn't have backwards compatibility :/

I think 2016 will be this gens defining year on home console.

Assuming no major delays 2016 is set up to be brilliant and best year since 2013.

Generally it is in the middle of a generation we have an amazing year like 2016 is set up to be.

2016. More games, more exclusives, more new IPs. And tons of 2015 games were moved to 2016, so... :P

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

So you are telling me all those years I have been here and seen those "next year will be the best ever" threads weren't real?

I'm telling you that you are not real. You do not exist. Face it.

I'm telling that it shouldn't be like that every year. years li ke 2012 or 2014, yeah, even this year having some major hits it also happened because of some major delays.

I know it's sad, but Rol is speaking the truth. Every year is like this (I lurk here for a long time already).

Rol is but a manifestation of this site taking an user form, Rol is the key to the matrix.

People will always overhype, but that doesn't mean the games won't be delivering and goals always need to move on.

As a said at mid gen we had such great years from 2009 to 2010 to 2011 and then such an amazing last cycle year at 2013.

Yeah, Rol is a hive minded being. :P

On a serious note, it's not that all games end up disappointing, it's just that an important part of them end up this way, so the massive feeling of greatness for each year are reduced along the way. That and the fact that many games get delayed every year. That said, I think 2011 and 2013 were some of the best years lately!
